Good Tuesday morning, Coffee Shop! It's 73°F (19°C) and foggy.
Partly cloudy, then becoming mostly cloudy through early afternoon, then becoming partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms toward daybreak. Highs in the lower 80s. West winds around 10 mph, becoming north. Gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

The wife and I both like the smoky taste it gives the meat, and the kettle does a heck of a job on wings. I use a gadget called a Vortex to do wings. it's a cone that acts as a chimney and concentrates heat nicely. Check it out on YouTube if you can stomach all the ads. I supplement with hickory or cherry wood chunks for extra smoke. Indirect heat for chicken (after a quick char) and indirect heat for fish. I had a neighbor who grilled in his garage in winter, but it's just too cold up here for me to be that crazy! Anyway, I'm going to look at parts, as I can make do with the bottom bowl and a cleaning assembly, but parts being what they are, it may just be as cheap to buy a whole kettle and attach it to the existing table. 
We'll see.

Particle board is the junk my computer table is made of, if it gets wet it swells. Amazing it even stands after 10 years.
Current layout is all dimensional lumber and spline. Easy peasy.

Congrats on the 40th.
Those are cool. Not the sort of thing I'm personally interested in as I'd rather form 4 a bunch of AR receivers and build modern PDW guns but in chatting about your shop's guns with the Google AI it agreed with your estimated sales prices.The shop called me and said they had 3 LE trade-in Diemaco (Canada) Colt FACTORY SBR's. 11.5" barrels. There were 4 (all consecutive sn's), but a good customer paid big money for one. These are rare and I will list one every 2 weeks. I'm guessing they will close around $2500-$3000 each.

Good morning all!
Shouldn't be quite as warm today as the last few. Currently is 71F with an expected high of 85F. Still going to be fairly humid under mostly
sunny skies.
Usual stuff around the house today. No other plans other than the customary dip in the pool.
Later this afternoon we have a league volleyball game for my daughter that's about an hour away. After tonight we only have one more on
Thursday then we are done with this for the summer. Thank goodness!
Time to enjoy some coffee with the dog before everyone else gets up!

Good morning. It’s 70f degrees heading to 85 and a heat index of 90 which will be tolerable. All storms and rains TOTALLY missed our area. So thanks for the messages but we are safe. But unfortunately if you check the news the storm was devastating to the Appleton/Menasha area or about 35 miles south of Green Bay. I know from operating sessions in that area a few folks.
We need rain but the storms or rains missed and really never even got close. The morning station my wife watches kept saying the weather would hit us! The WeatherChannel radar app I feel is pretty good and we were barely on the edge of the front when I looked yesterday morning.
I am outside watching the granddog run around. We’ve been out here since 6:05 and with the wind blowing at 10mph it’s very nice.
We go to see the Odyssey at 2pm. Just under 3 hours and up to 25 minutes of trailers. So we will miss the granddaughter’s 5:30 Miracle League baseball game. We will however see the grandson’s hockey game at 8:40. Dinner is in between though my appetite seems diminished. The plan was an Italian place we’ve been meaning to try since we moved here. High $$$ casual that has great reviews. I’m particular about Italian food as mom was second generation here and a great cook. However my maternal grandmother and great grandmother’s cooking was so supreme it was unreal. Sunday at grandma’s for dinner was an event. But today we’ll see. Maybe it’s been the heat but food since last week has held no anticipation for me

Morning All! 68 in the Brew City this morning, going to a civilized 82. Got some badly needed rain that was taken out of the forecast and showed up anyway. We even had a tornado touch down up in Appleton/Menasha area. Simple Thunderstorms here, nothing more exciting. A good workbench day, all in all. I got a decoder into a little 0-6-0 I bought some months back. It is an intricately detailed and beautifully painted model, so taking it apart was a little stressful. The space inside was near nonexistent. Ther only thing that would fit was the little Digitrax DZ 126T decoder. it's a pretty little thing and I'll test it out Thursday at the club. I also got most of the work done on the UP baggage car. Diaphragms, silver trucks to gray, roof vents removed. Sanding & refinishing the roof is what's left. In the email this morning was a notice from Sunset Models/GGD/Third and Townsend Models that the long-awaited Harriman cars are here and will be shipping soon. I'll be looking forward to those. I got four coaches, two diners, and a lounge to fill out various trains. Christmas in August!
I agree. I have a 22" kettle. It's attached to one of their table assemblies on wheels with a charcoal storage bin. Nice little setup and I've always loved the kettle's efficient use of heat. Over the years I tried propane and it's OK, then I had a Charbroil convertible that could use either, but I've reverted to being a charcoal snob.

Good Morning All. Clear and 76°. High today might reach 103°, only made 100° for about an hour yesterday. Triple-digits expected until the weekend. Pool temperature has risen to 89° in the afternoon, but is just 85° at dawn. Felt good out there this morning.
I'm fully immersed in my take it easy outdoors summer mode right now. Some minor routine necessary maintenance work and that's it. I do go out about once a week and start the mower, all other yard equipment is electric and doesn't need periodic running. I did make the 2.5 mile round trip to the mailbox yesterday and got both Saturday and yesterday's mail. Unless I get bored, I won't go again until Thursday's weekly grocery run.
More of the same today, although I sense a load of laundry may be necessary. In my wife's absence, I am doing the bill-paying this morning, but none need to go into the mail until Thursday.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I did some more under the layout wiring, hooking more building lights to the buss. I also replaced a couple of 26AWG feeder extensions with 22AWG wire. Not because they were unreliable, but because I had already cleared everything out from under the layout and everything was more accessible. No hidden treasures were found under there this time.
Michael - I would guess that I am lucky regarding the pharmacy and scripts. If I have a refill left, I can call their automated number and have a refill ready within 2-3 hours; enough time for me to get ready and drive to town.
Karl - I tried Googling a few other members names just out of curiosity and the results were mixed. Yours was one and I got the same result as you did. Some others worked, some did not. All in all, very interesting but not something I will make a practice of doing.
Patrick - Good luck with the retirement plans, only you will know when the time is right. While I retired at 63.5, it was later than initially planned. My retirement account took a six-figure hit in 2008-2009 and that set me back. Medicare and supplemental health insurance have turned into my greatest expense now. My wife worked for 7 more years after I retired, she at age 72, not from necessity, but just because she still enjoyed it.
David (Marlin) - While I have had minor issues with Bar Mills, I have not had the same problems as you have. But, I haven't bought anything from them since Art retired. Sad to read that the business has gone downhill recently. Hope that it's just a temporary transition issue and they get their act together soon. I love their kits.
The late Pink Floyd keyboardist/founder Richard Wright was born on this day in 1943. Drummer Simon Kirke of Free and Bad Company is 77 today.

I’ve been using a Weber 22" kettle since 1988, and I’m now on my second one, which is ready to be replaced. I’ve always kept them outside, and even though I often forget to use the cover, they still last. In my opinion, nothing compares to a Weber Kettle.

Good Tuesday morning. 85°F/77°F here. I checked the maps yesterday and it was more miserable here than it was in New Orleans, Jacksonville, Miami, and Jackson, MS. Unbelievable moisture in the air. Going from an A/C house to outside, you can feel moisture condense on your skin for the first few seconds after walking out.
Small grocery order placed and waiting on delivery now, but not before 1100.
Today I'm pulling all of my blued handguns from the cabinet and wiping them down to keep the moisture at bay. Especially the antiques. The newer models that are Tenifer coated, nitro-carburized, or otherwise not rust or salt blued do OK in this weather. I worry about the SIG-Sauers and some of the Walthers though.
I need to fix the canopy strut on my patio umbrella too, but that's for a cooler day later this week. I really have been wanting to buy an authentic Paulaner or Hofbräu restaurant/beer garden umbrella, but they want over $300 for one of those. But, they are heavy-duty commercial grade umbrellas that should last decades.

Got some OSB cut into strips yesterday. Doing it out in the direct sun and only lasted about an hour. Ya, little bit at a time I guess. Going out in a few with long sleeves on; will see if I can get the stack down - only have 3 more 4x8 to cut to 7 7/8 inches....
Ai - I use ctclibby on multiple sites and no Ai info shows up for them, only this one. Wonder what they are doing different? Some of you have checked your username with Ai and have gotten results. Unique names will show the most. IE, nobody else that I have seen uses mine. Same with a couple of you others.
Did 'slo-cooked' pork ribs smeared with BBQ sauce for dinner last night. In @ about 0600, out about 1600 - ten hours at 190F and they were yummy. Dogs got bones and fat - poor things. We also splurged on 2 tenderloin steaks a couple days ago ~$36 for the two; about 1 3/4" thick. Geesh; but they were good! And I was thinking of buying a whole tenderloin...
Bob ( cat ) walked into the house last night yowling. Had a 'knot/bump/whatever' on the side of his face the size of a golf ball. I tackled him and checked. No abrasions, bruises or cuts. Assume a bee found him. Better this am and is more active. Did slow him down quite a bit.
Lil is still 'lapping' water - no suck yet. She does not have another goat to learn from, so mimic's the dogs....Fun Fun.

Good morning folks, 91 here supposed to break the Century Mark again with a HI of 118. Ugh. Supposed to cool off tomorrow and then start building back to normal temps. We might go out later this evening for dinner, but that is a coin toss at this point. Plan for hobbying today is to continue work on the module and get decals on some buildings. You guys have a good one.
