Good morning folks, 92 here already, heading for 98 with high humidity. It's already an Index of 105. Got some work done on the corner module last night, main road put in, gonna work on getting the gas station section ready and some filler on the edges of Reggie's Veggie Stand. Then gotta move it back to the porch [out of the way] as some ladies from Church are coming over tonight for Andra to help with a wedding. Anyway, staying inside today is my plan too.

Just checking in. I've been trying to unplug from electronic devices, social media, the news, etc. I've been enjoying life.

Just some update stuff.

Nicki and I celebrated our 40th anniversary today. We took a short drive to some nearby country antique malls, just to look. We had 4 hours of fun and then we stopped at home to eat and take Sugar out, then a final trip of the day to Costco for pet meds and some misc stuff. I'm grilling some dry aged NY's and lobster tails for dinner tonight. We took Sugar out around 3:30 and saw these 2 fires pop up. Half the state is on fire right now.

The shop called me and said they had 3 LE trade-in Diemaco (Canada) Colt FACTORY SBR's. 11.5" barrels. There were 4 (all consecutive sn's), but a good customer paid big money for one. These are rare and I will list one every 2 weeks. I'm guessing they will close around $2500-$3000 each.

.....and this pretty mint 1951 S&W K-22 came in on trade and I snagged it. I love 22's. A little trivia.....Up until 1972 every revolver produced by S&W was assembled, from start to finish, by 1 pistol smith.

Train stuff....I started back into On30, but came to my senses before I fell into the rabbit hole. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm finishing up a diorama to display the engine and hoppers and will post pictures when it's done.

I purchased, against my better judgement, an O scale kit from Bar Mills when they had their fathers day promo, to use on the diorama. I 've finally learned my lesson. It showed up almost a month later. No email with a tracking number, missing the free figure, and the kit was missing all the graphics. I sent a polite email asking for the missing items. I ain't holding my breath. They know they've been screwing up because they're offering a free $50 kit with a purchase of $50 or more. I ain't falling for that one. I'm done with BMM.
