He missed the case of beer!
I'm glad that you've been giving these kitties a home, you obviously have a good heart. I have a great deal of respect for people who are kind to animals. My newest addition to the family, Sadie. She’s about 6 months old. Shes been roaming the park since the fall and finally made it up to the area where I feed the other two cats. It took me a few weeks to gain her trust. She and the other two cats were evicted from their warm garage. Don’t want to get into details but some people I work with are really petty.
I caught and adopted Sadie, the other older male cat got adopted by a lady that just loves him and the third cat, Richard, cannot be caught. He’s just too feral. ( I have since re-opened the warm garage for him and so far no one has said anything.
I was not looking to adopt anymore cats. I currently have two 17.5 year old siblings that I rescued from the park as newborns 17.5 years ago. Now I have another. Oh well. She is suppose to be kept in a room wearing a cone for another week. Well, the cone lasted on her for 5 minutes and her containment lasted three days. She’s fine.
While I still can’t really hold her, she still runs from us, that is until it’s time to eat. Then you can pet her. But when she’s done eating, nope not touching me. What a weird cat.

Just so we're clear...the AI picture of the fella with a built-in spark-throwing thruster, not the chili picTroy Again - That picture resembles me after eating Taco Bell...
Happy anniversary Mikey! My wife said" I do" to taking me for better or worse 59 years ago today.
We are financially a little better off, but we are worse off physically as neither of us have all our original equipment. So far, the replacement parts have kept us puttering along.
No fancy plans for today, just dinner at our favorite Irish pub.
See my reply in your thread. If any of you want to weigh-in… it’s have a specific question (about laying flex track on cork road bed)
I figure many of you may be able to guide me and recommend a course of action

This is what we do in the midwest when we start seeing single digits and minus signs.
Yes, I did clarify about the candidate with an explanation of my past political involvement, and tied in the current congress critter for my area with a tale from the past. I have inside-baseball stories of past political episodes from my home state. We'll leave it at that.
Wife is heading over to her mother's this morning, driving because, while we're still in the positive of F degrees, it's only 6 of them. Mom's phone must have updated overnight. It stopped talking to her insulin pump and glucose sensor. So daughter to her rescue.
I've been struggling with my sciatica again. Rough night sleeping. So I had a 3am visit with my youtube buddies, Bob and Brad, the popular physical therapists on the internet (In their own opinions, right Bob?)... And doing some diagonostic tests they recommended to see what the heck is going on....
Looks like I honked off my piriformis muscle doing my twisty stretches (flat on my back) yesterday. Normally, the piriformis gives your sciatic nerve a gently hug. But, right now, mine is like a chihuahua on meth, grabbing the sciatic nerve and not letting go.
So, i've got some exercises to help it relax, and to calm the nerve back down.
And, while I was browsing, I learned that Bob, of Bob and Brad, (he's the tall one) passed away in August. He'd been dealing with ataxia which affected his speech and motor functions. He had a "cerebral event" that basically put him on life-support and then deteriorated.
Their website is here (Bob's page) and has a lot of good PT resources if you need a little help (like I normally do):
It's laundry day on the home front.
Cat is avoiding me, because the wife caught him peeing on the landing at 4 am while I was watching Bob and Brad teach about piriformis muscles. Cat has a big case of the guilties about it. He'll go see her, but thinks I'll give him the stink eye.
I'm wondering if the chilled weather is hitting his arthritis harder than normal. He didn't feel like making it down one more flight of stairs to find his box?
I ordered him a heated cat bed we can put on the main level. Hopefully that will give him a reason to sleep closer to the litter box and not go all the way upstairs to sleep with us. Bed should be here on Monday. None of the pet stores locally stock them.
I didn't even put beans nor pasta in it.What you call Chili, we call goulash.
Texas chili is very different.
