Well Known Hobo
Good Moring all! Earlier this morning the dial was 35 degrees with a feels like of 27. The winds are really blowing.
I think I'd like a big bowl of Irish oatmeal with honey, and of course coffee.
Willie - I read your thread on the Wicked Wanda build. Very informative. I too took some liberties with the instruction sheets. Like you I do the windows first, then install them into the walls prior to gluing. Unlike yours the windows in the N Scale version do not fit tight and must be glued in. I prefer to put the outer window frame last since handling the model seems to dislodge them.
Guy - Try what Todd was saying. You might even try with something of yours. Leave an old sweatshirt in or near the dog's bed. I read somewhere that you can put the dog in a room walk out close the door, wait a minute and go back in. Do it a few times. Increase the time between closing and opening the door. Make a little fuss over the dog like you are happy to see it. I've never tried this, but it seems reasonable as dogs love it when we come home and greet and fuss over them.
Sherrel - It's too bad she has to get drunk first. LOL
As to Christian leaving. I will miss him, sort of. While I truly believe "it's your railroad", I found it incredulous that he never kept a track plan nor never wanted some sort of scenery, a tunnel, a bridge, maybe just a station. The countryside photos were great. He was showing places I will never see otherwise.
I think the beauty of this particular forum is the blend or mesh of the people in it. I've been dropping in here for about 3 years, and I cannot say that I ever saw one individual put down another fellow diner. Look at the makeup of the folks in this forum. It is so wide and varying not only by country, but gender, age, occupation and scale of our models. And yet no discord.
Well time to go work on Wanda's, pictures later.
