Good Moring all! Earlier this morning the dial was 35 degrees with a feels like of 27. The winds are really blowing.
I think I'd like a big bowl of Irish oatmeal with honey, and of course coffee.

Willie - I read your thread on the Wicked Wanda build. Very informative. I too took some liberties with the instruction sheets. Like you I do the windows first, then install them into the walls prior to gluing. Unlike yours the windows in the N Scale version do not fit tight and must be glued in. I prefer to put the outer window frame last since handling the model seems to dislodge them.
Guy - Try what Todd was saying. You might even try with something of yours. Leave an old sweatshirt in or near the dog's bed. I read somewhere that you can put the dog in a room walk out close the door, wait a minute and go back in. Do it a few times. Increase the time between closing and opening the door. Make a little fuss over the dog like you are happy to see it. I've never tried this, but it seems reasonable as dogs love it when we come home and greet and fuss over them.
Sherrel - It's too bad she has to get drunk first. LOL

As to Christian leaving. I will miss him, sort of. While I truly believe "it's your railroad", I found it incredulous that he never kept a track plan nor never wanted some sort of scenery, a tunnel, a bridge, maybe just a station. The countryside photos were great. He was showing places I will never see otherwise.

I think the beauty of this particular forum is the blend or mesh of the people in it. I've been dropping in here for about 3 years, and I cannot say that I ever saw one individual put down another fellow diner. Look at the makeup of the folks in this forum. It is so wide and varying not only by country, but gender, age, occupation and scale of our models. And yet no discord.

Well time to go work on Wanda's, pictures later.

STAY SAFE

LATER

Anyone have an Atlas SD24/35 parts list, I've checked hoseeker and got the exploded view of it, but no part number's, I've also checked Atlas's website, found some parts that are missing from mine, but it looks like it's had a big drop and it's broken a rather large part, as the weight sit's on it, I think it would be a good idea to find a replacement.

Might this be the right drawing?

It looks like the part you have circled there are two of them identical parts #700131

Having my teeth put on the 4 implants tomorrow I had put in 9 months ago. When you see these adds that claim to replace your teeth in one day forget it. It's at lease a 6 month procedure depending on upper or lower. They drill into to your jawbone and the healing process takes months. The price tag was $16,000.00 and now I have to go in to have 4 teeth replaced in the bottom with implants. That's another 16K. Good thing I'm not broke. It's more than I spent for my truck new.

Sherrel - It's too bad she has to get drunk first. LOL
HUGHIE - That's good - You funny, man! LOL
In my defense - she recently lost 45% of her weight and has some loose skin. I am so proud of the way she looks that I do not even notice - but, she is very self conscious about it. If I could just win the lottery, I would cure that problem. Steroids and other friggin medications just about did her in.

Afternoon All,

Did some chores today then cleaned up and put away all the unnecessary clutter in the train room. It looks like a new train room now! I may start the REA build tomorrow but not sure about that. I should wait until after Jon is here on Friday as I don't know what's going to happen then. Wife was supposed to pickup a friend at the airport today but her flight was cancelled until late on Tuesday.

Jaz- Nice job on the figures. Interesting dances. I've seen snippets of various British folk dances in Midsomer Murders. When my Mom was sick we watched the entire series...twice. She really liked British programming.

Hughie- Nice job on Wanda's so far.

Steve- Nice video. The Horse Soldiers and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon are awesome John Wayne movies.

Sherrel- Nice photo. So the red color is called mandarin orange?

IB Ken- I hope you feel better..

Guy- Nice photo.

Louis- Nice photos. That GG1 really stands out. Where is the first photo from?

Troy- That's a strange tale. Nice office/hobby area setup.

Gary- That is "The Modelers Forum" modelersforum.com which I am a member. There are many top notch modelers there (not talking about myself or denigrating anyone here). The ACL1504 in your photo is my buddy Tom. There's a group of 5 of us on that forum that live locally and we get together about once a month usually at Tom's house. I would highly recommend the forum to anyone that wants to "up your modeling game". I know that my skills have improved and it gave me the nerve to start building craftsman kits. Their "coffee shop" isn't as good as here though.

Willie- I love the wooden wrap around deck and stairs on Wanda's.

Alan- Nice videos, It looks like you have more passenger cars to work on.

Greg- Nice weathered equipment.

George- I don't envy you the dental work, but it sounds like you need it.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Alan- Both videos are great. And the best thing is that I can watch them both again!
You have been an expensive influence on a lot of people and that is a good thing.
Care to guess what brand airbrush I got for Christmas? Yes, your brand.

Thanks for posting the videos. I know I am not the only one to enjoy them.
Glad you enjoyed them Mike. Here’s one more: our first virtual open house. My train on this one is the 1941 City of San Francisco. It started with a coach and the club car from the Jim Gibson collection. It took over 10 years to assemble the rest of the train, find the cars, and the trucks, which was very difficult. These are 90’s vintage brass and are hard to find. In some cases there were less than 100 pieces made. I’m still looking for three 4-4-2 sleepers, but for now am using three Walthers cars for stand ins. The cars were mostly painted by me, and have tinted windows and Venetian blinds by circus city decals. No interiors. Call me lazy! It appears at about 19:10 on the video.

Good afternoon. It's raining and 69.
We took our dog to her 2 pm appointment, and she is no longer in pain or confusion.
I dug the grave Friday, but I didn't take into account the size of the casket, or the fact it was going to rain like a cow peeing on a rock most of last night. So, I spent another hour deepening and widening the excavation site, and she has been interred. I just hop the hole was deep enough. Our back yard, I discovered, is a foot of dirt over rock fill, and clawing out a bunch of rocks meant the hole is not as deep as I would like.

I have to congratulate the Cincinnati Bengals on locking up the AFC north. They carved up my Ravens like a Thanksgiving turkey last week. This week they beat KC Chiefs, the team I thought was the best in the AFC.

My Ravens put up another valiant effort only to lose at the very end. Third time that has happened in the last four weeks. The Eagles beat my second favorite team, the one I still refer to as the Redskins. Even the Jets could not provide some added football joy by holding on to beat Tom Brady after being up by 14 at one point!

Now i see the Cowboys and Cardinals are on, maybe this will end well. Oh well, a bad day watching football is still better than not watching football. How long until spring training?

LASM, you did see me. I try to stop by everyday, but I'm not always successful.
I have been extremely busy now that my wife works with me full-time. I was spending so much time at the computer working I could not wait another second to get away from that desk, not even to visit my train buddies. i don't tell my wife, but sitting at that desk takes its toll on my back, legs and hips, even in my extra comfortable and expensive desk chair. When they get bad I work for Amazon, that helps a lot!
I recently got an Amazon kindle fire that I can comfortably use sitting on my couch, that enable me to come back to the forum. I have several laptops, but they are awkward for me to use when resting on the couch. This little 10" kindle with a clever cover is simple and easy for me to hold on the couch. Now when I'm not watching sports, TV or sleeping on the couch I visit my train buddies! I'm very happy to see you posting again!

Terry, that reminds me, a couple of my laptops and desktops have automatically upgraded to windows 11. I love it and the few apps i have used work great! Sorry I took so long to tell you. I forget almost everything these days. How is Windows 11 working for you.
Our thoughts are with you and your wife through this difficult time.

Curt, I found that GG1 photo on Bing. Unfortunately I don't know anything about it, I just liked it and wanted to share it.

Now back to the ball game.

Have a great night Everybody!

Yes, their the ones, front and back of the motor, thank you, now I have somewhere to start, hopefully I can find one, Atlas aren't listing them on their website, but I may just send an email and see if they can help, worth a try at least, thanks Mike.
OK, I'm off to the Dumbass Club now, just looked again at the exploded diagram that I posted, and realised the flipping part No. that I'm looking for is on the other identical part that's shown in the diagram, ffs!!!!!
