Good afternoon gang!

Sunny and 44° right now.

Spent a little time outside this morning cutting up the large tree branch that fell out of the pines bordering my back fence. the "soft" end of it was against my shed, the solid end was resting on the top board of the fence. Beyond the fence is a 12 ft easement then the neighbors yard. Technically the tree is on the easement, not my yard or the neighbors yard, but the county bears no responsibility to it. So I have to clean it up. If it were up to me with unlimited $$$ I'd just have them all removed. This group of white Pines has already totalled the neighbors car when the top broke out of one of the trees and landed on his Mustang! Now this 18 ft branch is all cut up and on my trailer for a dump run.

I did pick up my Ruger Max 9 yesterday. I got the approval from the State at 6 a.m. yesterday via email, just like the girl at the store said it would come through. Funny was the States way of wording the letter. Stating "Congratulations Your application, 2025016852, to purchase a regulated firearm from GUN SHACK, INC. has been Not Disapproved by the Maryland State Police." Not been disapproved? Double negative eh? Weird.

In other news, my co-workers husband who was in a motorcycle accident last September has passed. A woman ran a red light and he hit the side of her Toyota Tacoma at 40 mph. The crash left him paralyzed from the chest down and without the use of his fingers. He's been in good spirits but slowly fading til an infection took him. He's now the 3rd death of a friend this month. They say things run in 3s, I hope this is it for a while.

Louis, Koons has a GMC store near us, some of the stories their customers tell us about that store send shivers up my back.

Nascar soon, BBL

I'm not surprised.

My cousin, Cindy, has worked for Koons since they bought Suburban Chevrolet. Her first job was Suburban, and she has never had another. She is now an office manager at Koons white marsh. She is the only reason I went there in the first place. "Sorry Cindy, I'm never coming back!"

Krystal Koons should stop doing commercials, she has always given me the creeps!

Interesting, in all my years I have only seen one filter fail. Ironically, it was Wix, but it was old stock, the filter material fell apart and clogged the filter.

I know Wix is high quality, they are the only filters Ryder uses and having worked for Ryder I know they only buy the best.

I only buy Fram's premium extended life filters for synthetic oil. And I only buy them one at a time. Amazon even ships them sealed in a plastic bag.

Well done! The one I saw was a pickup, a service truck only driven by mechanics with an engine knocking and needed to be rebuilt. A $1000 job because of an old filter. We only had one 302 in the fleet. Why the parts manager bought two cases of filters for it is beyond me.

My dealer, Koon's Cheverolet white marsh's service manager is an idiot!

This the guy who wanted to charge me $500 to replace both headlights. Even after I told him I was driving when they both went out, he said, "maybe the car got hit by lightning" I told him I think I would have noticed that" It took them less than an hour to replace the lights, but he said the extra charge was for diagnostics. Yeah, replace the headlights and see if they work.

This is how they treat a customer who buys only Chevrolets from them and my family has bought over a dozen of them in the last ten years,

I had an OE tire fail on my City Express, they didn't even know how to warranty the tire and just cut me a check.

I'll never spend another dollar at Koon's, any location!
I use Mobile One, Full Synthetic and the Mobil One filters. No engine problems with 151,000.0 miles on the odometer.....2007 Chevy 150, V8 PU.
I bought this truck new in 2006.
I also use the full synthetic in my 2012 Corvette and 2008 Trailblazer. The Trailblazer has 112,000.0 miles and shows 50 psi oil pressure when warm idling. It has a straight 6 cylinder motor.
I find the best prices at Walmart on the 5 quart containers and on the Mobil One filters.
It works for me......for others "mileage may vary".

Got some more done on the engine service area. All the concrete pads are finished. I added a 2 X 3/4 to expand the benchwork then I fasten the facia board to it. I had to use a door shim to make it line up correctly. It's almost there I still need to finish the inspection pit.

Good afternoon! It’s 38f degrees in my Wisconsin settling. Never got to the 41 predicted and we do have a breeze making the real feel 32. I will take it happily

I will be home alone for a couple days as I took Terry to the airport as she is off to Austin to see the son and his g/f. She texted me that TSA really inspected her pain meds but let her pass through.

I spent most of the morning packaging up chassis and containers. They are ready to be dropped off at the USPS tomorrow. I took the for sale forum posting down here because those were sold and are now packaged up. But if you need some containers and/or chassis let me know in 20’, 40’ or 45’. None of these are weathered and I will sell them individually, weathered or not. I had to weather some from FB sales and get in the mail probably Wednesday as I have 24 sets drying right now. Tomorrow morning I will pull the Facebook sales postings to allow myself time to catch up. It was unexpected but again I’m ok with it

The grandson’s hockey game was played at 10am not 4 this afternoon as the schedule has! They got walloped by a team from Calumet Michigan. 0-6 and the Calumet team left after the game for a 6.5 hour drive home. Makes sense why the game time was re-scheduled.

I’m either having sloppy Joes or a hamburger on the grill in about 90 minutes.

Enjoy the evening
