Well howdy there internet peeps and those who think the diner is too crowded and we need a second.

It's troy again.

I mean, I know most MRRs are tubby old gents. They have wide booths here. We'll all fit. 😜

Had a fun day at the game store. One player for a demo game didn't show up, so I was odd man out. That's fine. We knew we had a new player in the group. So I could help with rules coaching.

Some undead centurions
Promethean.jpg

Another 10 in tall monster. A "Promethean" from the greek style faction

In other news, I found a cheaper option for Shopify, but I'm not sure if I need to switch. Right after I set up the new store, the old store started selling more than their basic cost. Hmmmm....

Who knew selling ebooks was so complicated?

I started a thread to "APNL Coffee Shop", but it does not appear here. How do you get it here?
I assume that you are referring to the "Secret Plan" thread started last night. It's already there. Please reread my post #857 regarding starting threads within threads. If you want "Secret Plan" in the Running Bear Coffee Shop, add a post and include a link to that thread using the "link" icon above, tenth from the left in the reply box, looks like two rings. Here's a link to the "Secret Plan thread. If that's the one you want, here it is.

Secret Plan.

I get SO confused.

I'm not surprised.

My cousin, Cindy, has worked for Koons since they bought Suburban Chevrolet. Her first job was Suburban, and she has never had another. She is now an office manager at Koons white marsh. She is the only reason I went there in the first place. "Sorry Cindy, I'm never coming back!"

Krystal Koons should stop doing commercials, she has always given me the creeps!
I remember Koons as a Ford dealer who also sold Japanese cars, in DC. Suburban used to be a decent shop. Of course that was a lifetime ago.

Well good evening to all including competing coffee shop operators....

Was outside enjoying the sun and warmth today, and I saw a Robin in my side yard. It made it to 49° today, now 30°...and it will stay mild through Thursday, at least. Several doctor's appointments this coming week. One for a hernia, the other for balance issues.

I spent time in the train room, working on the third steel mill building, the furnace and ingot mill. Other structures are the scrap yard, the rolling mill and the foundry. Modern for the 1895 era, but near functionally obsolete in the 1970s...where my railroad remains. (Note: the prototype burned down in 1974...we won't model the fire....the few times I was in there drilling the place, I wasn't surprised).

The Capitals won again, Ovie had a hat trick, now needs 13 more to pass Gretzky. Orioles beat the Phillies in preseason baseball, and the Devils shut out Nashville 5-0 to make up for going through the motions Saturday night against Dallas. The Split squad Mets won one and tied their other, after losing yesterday....that makes them 1-1-1 for the preseason....Is that all Cohen gets for his money?

George: That engine house facility looks great. Bob: that's going to be a nice layout.

"Ihave a Plan, A Secret Plan, for Choo-Choos, with honor"(Paraphrase of Tricky Dick). I am starting a layout, and wouldappreciate any advice. I will start with 2" pink foam as a base. They only sell 2" here in AZ. I will get another 4 by 8 cut inquarters. I will glue the quarters to the base with a 6" offset. This should give me 5 by 9, allowing for 28" curves. The outeroval should be good for continuous running. The offset will give a 1ft cross below grade level. A place for wires and 4 Bridgingopportunities. The base will be set on folding tables, so that it canbe easily moved and possibly stored. A lot of this is for my 8 yearold grandson, and me too. I want to see my SP Daylight running intothe sunset.

Unlikemany of you, I am Basemently Challenged., so I have to deal withspace issues. SWMBO, is not going to allow, wall molestation.

Toglue the pink foam together, I plan to use Liquid Nails, but am notsure what flavor to use, there are many.

Letme know what you think of my Plan. Any advice or suggestions will beappreciated. From the foam, springs the Ovate Valley Railroad.
How is that, Jim?
I get SO confused.
No worries, we all do it from time to time.

When I do it, I call "senior moment" one of the benefits of age.

It's all good Jim; you are among friends.

Good morning everybody!

Finished my first week as a conductor trainee on Saturday. The week was a bit chaotic due to frozen switches and high traffic volumes but we got it done😎
I’m back in the yard tomorrow morning to work the hump some more.

I had a quick switching session on Rocky Valley yesterday afternoon since my GMRC build is on hold while some caulk dries. Here’s the video I captured of the session:

Good morning all!

Currently 36F heading to a high of 53F. Looks like between Saturday and yesterday, most of the snow has melted.

Volleyball game tonight. Not sure why there even playing it. It was cancelled due to weather in January and rescheduled
tonight. They are not a conference team and we are already in regionals, so the outcome makes no difference. Of course
it is an away game and dinner will be on the road somewhere.

Not much else happening in my world. Train funk still continues.

Have a safe day everyone!

It's a balmy 43 and clear in Cheyenne, headed for high of 59 today. Usual wind warnings, etc... And,

He's back... Well for the most part anyway. What started as some chest discomfort last weekend turned into a full-blown a-fib episode. Went to Cheyenne Regional MC ER Monday afternoon and spent the rest of the week in ICU and Step-down getting stabilized and pulse rate down to an acceptable level. Still on restricted physical activities until I see cardiologist later in the week. So, it's low-sodium diet (yecccch) and decaf everything (which I can handle ok). Its funny how almost no one talks about cholesterol anymore...
In other news.. beginning to get irritated with movers; still got our stuff. Been 4-weeks. Weather, truck availability, scheduling, etc. blah-blah-blah...
No train activities, other than some doodling on basic layout scheme.
Hope everyone is doing ok and getting some train stuff done. Probably be on-and-off a bit with posting for a while, but we're gettin' there.
Y'all have a good day and week and take care.

Morning all,

Currently 34° d partly cloudy, high of 66° later today. It actually got to 63° where I live yesterday, so quite a bit warmer. Since it remained above freezing all night, just drifted and shovel piled snow remain. Has a spring smell in the air.

I like the fact that people on this forum posted what they accomplished last week.
Swal
* Monday: Got up and stayed home for the holiday
* Tuesday: Office closed due to snow emergency, but worked with 3 police related computer issues from home.
* Wednesday: Completed processing new hire that starts Thursday and ran updates against non-production servers
* Thursday:
Oh, you were kidding!!! 🤣

If I were a Tesla\SpaceX Stockholder, I'd sure as heck want Elon to bullet point what he did in his job as CEO.

I hope everyone here follows your lead, Patrick.
