McLeod, I've done the horizontal cuts. I'm still here. Problem is the walls are made in a special way. 1 row is bricks in the normal position. On top 1 row with the short back side of the bricks visible. That makes a lot of pieces in total. So instead of going nuts I probably go bricks.
I will finish the test piece tomorrow, the light is not good enough now. 16.30 hour PM here and grey cloudy.
It looked undersized to me.
You should add some inches (cm) to put it on top a platform. In older days we had the platform 30 cm higher than the head of the rails. Now its more like 50 - 100 cm. Our railway station is a 3 floor building and its 14 meter high.
Try to find a reference (door). Most trees are way to small on most lay outs.
But remember, when you are ok, its good.

I just got a news scroll across the screen that AT&T’s nationwide Cell service is down. Anyone here using AT&T? I weigh in on an electronic scale every morning. It then reports the results via AT&T cell to my IPadPro where the app for my diabetes management is. Now I know why it didn’t report in this morning to the app, it’s down! Our cell phones all use T-Mobile so we are fine with the phones, but not the scale…
My carrier is piggybacking on an AT&T.
Phone has been down most of the morning.
Tried using wi-fi calling, but that is skunked too and I don't care to figure it out.

That being said, Good morning ALL!!!!
Missed you yesterday Bill.
Glad you came in this morning.
Flo, I'm thinking of a breakfast special item.
It's from one to seventy three on the list.
I'll hold your hand and stare into your eyes while you guess.........

Morning folks, currently 68 and cloudy but it should clear up and get warmer later on. Had a dentist appointment earlier this morning, just a simple cleaning. Dr. said no cavities!👍
Last night I started converting some of my rolling stock to metal wheels and Kadee couplers. I'm wondering if I need to get some new trucks too, since the wheels fit very loose in some of them.

I've hear that other carriers are experiencing issues as well. I'm on Verizon but all is good on my end...for now.

Hospital visit this morning to have the "port" installed?
I have really felt lousy for several days over the Chemo.
Keep your head up!🙂 Last March my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma (lymph node cancer), he had the port installed and endured 2 totally different types of chemo. It was a pretty rough year but currently he's cancer free!

I'd go with some new trucks and congratulations to Dad being cancer free!!
No cavities are a bonus round. :)

Wow! Did I ever get lucky (not like THAT)...

I had chili for lunch. Then I got this email.

Whew! That worked out well.

Morning all,

Got in late this morning, currently partly cloudy and 58°, high of 63° later. City has a wellness campaign, so both the wife and I had our blood and vital stats taken. Good way to get additional dollars off our health insurance premiums. Far cheaper to keep her on my insurance than Medicare. Still trying to figure out how you retired folks can afford the mandatory premiums.

Looks good...I know what I'm having for lunch.

Knew my phone was working again when I got 3 spam calls on my way to work...

I have never tried to outguess the big boys in the stock market. However I have done well since dropping the financial advisor and self-managing my retirement accounts.
I did quite well, for 15 years, after dumping the financial advisor. Recently, when the big boys tanked the market while taking a tantrum over the Feds rate policy, I didn't go defensive, because I was getting decent yields from my dividend stocks. Now, all of a sudden, even great quarterly results don't insure stability and growth. I think they are using AI, rather than people because everything is analytics based.

Terry has done better over the years than the financial guy we were using until her retirement. In 2008 when she looked at the fees we were paying we decided to let her handle the investment. We (she really as I just nod) have done very well and didn’t have pay for her doing it. We still invest about 30% of our earnings though Warren Buffet and company and that has been nothing but sweet. But in reality it gave us comfort because while we’ll never see that money the kids will someday in the hopefully far future. it did give a cushion so Terry could take some risks in the SM.

She has mentioned in the last few days another set of reasons we should leave Wisconsin behind. The taxes on SS and investment. Plus we do have taxes on earned income. Northeastern Florida, Nevada, Texas, Arizona all places neither of us want to live have now become much more entertaining.

Afternoon All,

Started out the day with a walk at 45F and a full moon but covered by clouds. I spent the morning doing chores. After lunch I changed my Digitrax DCS-200 command station batteries then did some painting on little people for the next build. Tomorrow we're taking Dad to the airport for his trip to OH, MD, and VA over 3 weeks.

Sherrel- Hang in there buddy.

Bill- Neat picture.

Troy- Best wishes to your SIL.

David- I had to look up Russian Caravan. I'm not up on different teas.

TomO- Enjoy the layout work.

Willie- Nice scenes. I see you replicated your neighbors' longhorns.

Guy- Nice job on the build so far.

Possum- Congrats to your father.

I hope everyone has a good night.

The facts and figure say following the curve produces better results than paying a manager to try to best it. this is not advice, just my own observation, of course there are ups and downs, but atm there is definitly recovery and up, and even if tech completely collapsed that is 30 percent leaving 70 percent and not likely they will all collapse. It is how long you can afford to hold out for a recovery that matters. Owning your shares personally is safer imo.

not convinced about nvidia tho, I would not follow individual shares myself…shudders. Nice returns today record breaking :D.

It is a case of holding your nerve, and awaiting an upswing…and hopefully you can afford to do so.

UK investors also have to watch the dollar/pound, a failing pound gives us bigger returns, a strong pound diminishing, which means your betting against the UK if investing in dollar shares. so have to watch both so as to not accidentally back stab yourself, but at time can do a double bubble.

But if you look at the ftse you weep.
Global in time of such unrest is not my comfort art zone, especially as the US dominate that as well. the UK Gov has failed to support the FTSE for years, resulting in a long decline, saddens me. Their recent panic attempts have not gone well.

sandp has a record today, how quickly the pendulum swings.

Could say a lot more, but probably said too much. suffice to say certain people get richer, most people get crushed.

Good afternoon, all! Avery cloudy day with some warm temps, close to 80. Real world stuff has kept me out of the train room until today. I've got Woody's nearly finished.

Sherrel - hang in there amigo.
Guy - Like the stucco effect.

My s-i-l told me about this tint. I going to try to use for weathering structures.

Paying a financial manager, only benefits the income of the manager, and his firm. My MIL, invested with a small firm that specialized in "serving" senior investors. Her concern was not losing principal, so she saw nothing wrong with 12-B-1 funds that paid generous fees to the advisor. It was amazing how much her yield increased once we changed custody of her account to another firm. Advisors prey on those wo son't understand the markets.
