Chet,
I get the old car on the showroom floor thing. This spends time in our showroom here.

Still, that 59 of yours is sooooo purdy!

When I worked for the old stealership, we had a 1965 popup trailer and a 1958 Airstream travel trailer. I’d rotate them in and out of the showroom opposite their new counterparts. They always generated a lot of interest, and a great way to start a conversation that hopefully ended with a purchase of a new unit.

Back from the medical visits for Terry. They have no idea about the pain she HAD BEEN having and threw a bunch of tests at her before and after Hawaii. She has been pain free since the last tests but ran them again today. 2 visits after more testing today and everything seems fine. She is happy and so am I.

I need a nap…
Glad to hear Terry is feeling more herself, one less worry for you, you deserve that nap.

I heard that they claimed that it was being controlled. There are winds from the jet stream at altitude.

I read an article that they can send the balloons where ever they want (within reason) and have it loiter. (Not just the Chinese but NASA and any other org or country that uses the big weather ballon types). The winds at upper levels are pretty constant and well known and so by lowering or raising it they can catch the wind they want to bring it where they want (again, within reason).

This is what makes the valuable for scientific (and probably intelligence gathering) purposes.

knock, knock ! anyone home? open the door - it's cold outside and I need a shot of coffee, pease!

Dr wanted to do "contrasting scan" yesterday- which, ahead of time - I was not notified of and blood draw to boot.
I was half hour late for the appointment because it was set for 9:45 - not 10:45; after seeing the vampire and getting the thingy in my arm for the dye - the Dr changed it to a NON contrasting scan because some kidney function came back elevated, so now I get to try and find out what that is all about? While I was there I went ahead and received a first Shingles preventative injection so they would quit asking me about it each time I poked my head in a door ... also asked me about the 4th Covid booster - I have decided that I want NO MORE Covid shots as many here in the family have had Covid including Spousal Unit and kids, grand kids, and friends - I either have immunity or have just been extremely lucky.

I have one flying story that I recalled after the discussion of the "lost" engine.
I started my career as a Flight Engineer on the Constellation - 4 engine prop airplane. I had a pretty large panel to keep up with that had most all the engine, prop, electrical, fuel, and A/C controls. Departing Pittsburgh one snowy night, the #3 engine decided to swallow a valve when the aircraft had just become airborne and was vibrating like crazy - lighting up my panel like a Christmas Tree.
Now, The Captain was one who became very excited about almost anything and was only a year or two from retirement. With the airplane shaking - he was stuttering trying to say for me to "feather the prop", but all he could say was F -Fe-Feth ... then he yelled "Fight the Fire"! The Co-pilot and I about busted a gut laughing; you had to be there to appreciate the scene.

OK, I'm done! FLO - please let me in?

Good morning.... Coffee Flo, in the to go cup. Its been a clear moon lit night the past few days and cloudy during the day. I'd rather see the sun than the moon. Its been cloudy here for the past 2 months with only 3 sunny days.
That's rough, TOM! I have become so used to seeing the /sun out here that even just a few cloudy days make me gloomy. Today is Supposed to be 69F later on under a cloudless sky. Comon out!

Morning,

Some high level clouds and 35°. Going for a high 54 later. Some rain and possible mix overnight and into tomorrow morning with the low about 32°. They can keep the mix and send the rain....

Meetings today...again. Tired of them as they seem to take up more of my time to get any work completed. Today's is about moving email to the cloud, which is a month behind due to the "network outage". At least we're working again and residual issues getting resolved. I don't want to experience this thrill again...

Side note: What do you guys do for track cleaning cars? I asked about some at the train show and nobody had any. My current track is easily cleaned as there's no scenic-ing in the way, but will be an issue in the future.

try to BBL
