I'm playing the horses at the Meadowlands and they advertise the Martin & Lewis tribute show coming to the track in the future. In the photo they look just like the comedy duo of the 50's. I did a search on youtube and they look and sound just like them. The guy sings just like Deam Martin. Unbelievable.

I remember them when I was a kid, and older, a great tribute act should. Be brilliant, maybe a film might come too. The rat pack etc. loved them all.

Good morning. 32 degrees and sunny this morning. I was discharged from the hospital at 1745 last night. I had to hang out until they read the latest Echo, and EKG. My procedure went well. I quickly healed, although I'm restricted for two weeks. I have removed / or had removed all fo the bandagesfrom my arms, neck and groin...The procedure was painless, the after effect is I feel like I was run over by a truck. That will all get better. I return to the hospital for a check one month from tomorrow, then again a year later. (and I imagine, every year after that). Going up for a shower, and will chat later. Thanks again for all the prayers and good wishes.
Glad you feeling well enough to post.

I'm in a 55+ park. Are you SURE you want to see the bikinis?
OMG no, they could be like this!

Karl, you're amazing.

Terry, Nice place. It's perfect for you. Good Luck with your home.

The balloon answers amaze me. (Both the Administration's, the Chinese, and the forum members), I personally believe that it should have been downed in Canadian airspace. Having said that, they had a great view of the shoot down in Myrtle Beach and Conway SC. Wonder what chemical escaped from the cloud once it was punctured? My personal conspiracy theory, is that the Chi-coms are studying our air flow, so they could infect us from the air with their next manufactured disease.... Far fetched? who knows...it's as good as anyone else's theory.

B&O Caboose C-3797 ICC Caboose - Athearn ATHG78545.jpg

Quick photo of my latest toy...ordered this caboose back in August 2021, and it was delivered on Friday, while I was indisposed. Hope to run it behind a B&O consist.

Today, was a rare winter Sunday without pro hockey. League resumes play after the all star break tomorrow. Since I'm giving up ESPN+, I will have
to do without unless a game is on ABC...I might find a streaming outlet, but I'm not that interested right now.

Hopefully, I start taking short walks this week. It's supposed to be relatively mild.

Good morning gang

Herd of turtles here. Been fighting an ear infection since Friday, woke up at 2 a.m. with ear pressure and couldn’t get back to sleep. Now after a hot shower it fine, but the damage is done. I’m hoping the antibiotics take hold today, been on them since Saturday.

Need IV bags of coffee Flo, just keep em coming!

Morning all,

Mostly cloudy and 47° this morning going for a high of 67° later, then back into the 50's and 40's for most of the week.

Managed to get to both of the oldest granddaughters basketball games on Saturday. one lost and the other one tied. The oldest one is getting much better and actually made a 3-point (10 year old), but also gave the other team 2 points by forgetting which basket they were shooting at. She was upset, but as her grandmother and I pointed out, they didn't lose. She is a left, so many of the girls her age don't have the skills to get into her defenses, she when she's running the ball, the opening is on the wrong side.

Wife remembered later on Saturday that I was wanting to attend the train show and asked what I had planned for Sunday. So yesterday morning I got the groceries and did the usual Sunday laundry and she called to see if the son and grandson wanted to go to the train show with me. Wife went along to get out of the house, but stayed in the car for the almost 2 hours we were at the show. Grandson scored better than I did as his uncle bought him him birthday a bit early and he had my number as well. I think he ended up with 7 freight cars and a Jaguar automobile. As for me, I bought some metal wheels that are for the Athearn models, some long stauntions for the Athearn engines and a small package of train horns. Didn't really find what I was looking for as a couple of the dealers were there Saturday only and the ones with the bins of small misc. parts weren't there. I'll post the couple of pictures in the RPO thread.

Boris: Glad to hear the procedure went well.

Your balloon theory makes much more sense than others. They already know what Covid can do …

Good morning. I am playing medical chauffeur for Terry today. Depending on how she feels after the tests we may go out for brunch.

The plan is to get to the train room this afternoon. There just has been no focus the last couple days but I feel pretty damn good this morning.

30’s for the high all week in So. Central Wi is the prediction.

EDIT: the grandson had quite the day playing hockey yesterday. Game one he scored twice and had 2 assists, they won 4-1. Second game he had 1 goal and 4 assists as they won 7-1 the Regional championship and move on the his 1st State Youth hockey Championship. His mother’s team won in her 1st State youth championship appearance. His uncle’s teams made it to State 7 times and finished second 4 times, never won.

Just got a text from the daughter. Turns out State is 3/4/2023 and Terry thought we would be in the islands. Now we won’t. The grandson is happy and also texted a few minutes ago. (They have late school starts on Mondays). 53 games so far this season. 39 goals 57 assists. Again he says, “poppa, not bad for 3rd line”. His left wing (female) has 60 goals and the right wing has 18. The 3 are best friends and skate like the wind. The 1st line has the head coaches 3 kids on it.

enjoy your day

Willie: Keep in mind Montana's population is not much over 1M. There would have been tons of area that are Big Sky only. Wyoming is about like Montana,

The joke my kids tell me is that "no one lives in Wyoming - have you ever met someone from Wyoming?" 🤣

Of course my sister and BIL and their family live in Evanston and I've had a few roommates in college from Wyoming... But it is still funny.
