These station wagons sure bring back memories of the past. Cathy and I had a Chev Cavalier wagon. Two liter engine and really was a great on gas and it was two toned. I got it from GM since the piece of junk we had, a Chevette burned a quart of oil each tank of gas, since being brand new. After Chevy couldn't find the cause of the lost oil they offered us the Cavalier wagon in exchange.

Curt/Mikey - How do you guys get your wives to help with the layout??? Mine won't even come near the train shed.
Willie- I am fortunate to have a wife that doesn't object to my train madness.
I only ask for her help when I have something not too strenuous and we have a chance to do something together.
I also attend shopping trips and drive her to appointments just to keep her company.:):):)

I remember a tree house similar to your picture we built in an apricot tree at my grandfather's farm, seems like 500 years ago.

Your picture of your shed reminds me of a friend who has 3 buzzards on a barn on his layout.

Lee - I also always liked the smell inside feed stores. I still visit a few times a year, although not nearly as often as I used to now that I stopped raising chickens.
Willie I have a feedstore just up the road from me where I buy my chicken feed but it just doesn’t have that smell like the old Wayne Feedstore I remember as a kid.

Your treehouse looks amazing great job on it. If you talk to Sherrel tell him I said Hi.

Good morning,

Well, with all the things we thought we could trust going tippsily-do, it is nice to know that at least mathematics holds true.

Why my observation? Well, I added that wee extension off the table a few weekends ago. When all was said and done, I realized I had made a silly layout error. I won't bore with details, but I drew and cut a 28" radius where I needed a 24 inch R. Not a huge difference, methinks, and perhaps I allowed enough 'fudge' factor. Nope! made a 22R curve of track yesterday, and she do not fit.

If Model Railroad work is fun . . . . . Re-Work must be even that much better, right?

Off to cut more foam!! ANd a base!! And a . . . .

Oooh ooooh car pissing contest :D (just joking)

Been there done that got the t shirt,

I was able to get to the LHS yesterday for some more flex and curves, I was then able to get my outer loop in. Not powered fully yet as my soldering onto rail joiners did not go as well as planned. Nice and warm spring day here as well, so then went for a nice drive along the east coast to Mahone Bay. What a perfect day! These pics were not taken by me, my wife has our camera right now out at her girlfriends.

pic of Mahone Bay is not mine

Gary, I put the feeder wires under the rail. They hide nicely. I have 1/2 thickness ties to put in place.

I have an old spade headed solder gun and I don’t know if it’s going to be hot enough yet anyways, will need to practice some more on some old track.

Afternoon All,

Back from the birthday party. I am stuffed and dragging from the early wake up today. Tomorrow I'll be back at the layout again. I think by this time next week I will be done with the build.

Hughie- Nice build.

Tom- Nice job on the hopper.

Alan- That's a lot of nice vehicles which reminds me I need to order some more.

TomO- I'm glad your grandson appears to be OK.

Willie- Happy Birthday to Arlene. Thanks for the meter info. Nice treehouse scene. Actually, it was MOH that got me back into MRR"ing. She usually makes suggestions which if it makes sense to do I try to do, but there are a lot that just wouldn't work.

Jaz- Nice scenes.

Gary- Making great progress. Beautiful scene.

I hope everyone has a good night.
