Good Morning All. Cloudy and 20°, it might be snowing very lightly. Snowmaggedon really didn't hit here like the weather geeks led us to believe, yet! Many things just didn't happen the way the NWS predicted. The 2.5"+ of rain was 0.23", the 20+mph winds never got above 10 mph, and so far there appears to be about 0.5" of snow so far. The temperature did not drop to 15°, but it is not expected to go much higher than 25° today. 9° predicted for tonight, but their predicted high tomorrow is now above freezing briefly in the afternoon. Radar currently indicates that this invisible snow should continue for at least half of the day.
I made it through the routine doctor visit yesterday with some additional tests to be run Monday. I will need a chest x-ray at an imaging center, which couldn't be done yesterday because I didn't have my Medicare card with me - wasn't expecting to be sent there. And a couple of other tests back at my doctor's office. This all has to do with my shortness of breath that I have been experiencing lately. Otherwise, all systems are good.
The grocery store visit on the way home was actually a whole lot less stressful than I expected. It was slightly more crowded than usual but things were flowing smoothly. Just one person ahead of me in the checkout line and there were baggers at all open lanes. The only stock out that affected me was that despite a fully stocked salsa aisle, they were out of the one and only green salsa that my wife uses to make a batch of soup. That was also out at the alternate store that she went to on Tuesday. Mask usage was about 45%...I removed mine after I left the produce department as distancing was good everywhere else. I also noted that gas has finally gone above $3/gallon everywhere. $3.01 at most places.
Thanks to all for the comments and likes on the latest mini-scenes;

No time for the train shed yesterday even though it was warm enough out there. Sometimes I just hsve to spend more time with my wife whether or not we're being productive.
So once again it's back to the archive for the last of the catalogued mini-scenes. I have more but they're in a BIG folder and not sorted.

Jaz -
I start sentences with conjugations all of the time. It flows like conversations do. At least
Troy hasn't corrected me yet!
George - Not too sure that the tractor still runs, no one can find the key and vandals stole the battery years ago.
Hughie - For some reason I thought that you had posted that Ernie's was a Bar Mills kit. It does appear to still be available on Blair Lines website.
Ernies
James - These feral hogs are a much bigger problem in the more southerly regions of our state of Texas. As far as I can tell, this group of hogs roaming our neighborhood is about 40 strong and is currently limited to just one herd. That's not to say that this group of youngsters might form a break-off herd. Farmers and hunters (and vehicles) are pretty vigilant regarding providing food for the vultures and buzzards here. For the most part, very little of the meat ends up being consumed by humans here. Most of these folks don't want to take the time to field-dress and process it.
Well since I started composing this diatribe, the snow has become visible and is snowing moderately for here, looks like another 1" accumulation in the last 90 minutes, but I'm not in the mood to go outside and measure right now. I'll do that later when I go for additional firewood to start drying out. I have enough inside right now to last until around noon tomorrow but I have to be looking ahead.
Stay safe, stay warm, stay dry and everyone have a great day.
