Good evening guys, I am late to the game today, woke up with a fever and had sweats/chills overnight. Temp at 99.8 so taking a couple days off. hate to say maybe Omicron. My taste is good and not congested in the least. Time will tell.

Very interesting to read the weather in various parts of the country!

I spent 4 hours sleeping today and 3 hours in the train room, a couple buildings are in the hospital

Here is the sawmill from the "OUTFEED" end. I have moved this building over 4 times, just have to tweak it a little each time

The steam engine and smokestack fell off, and the belt came off the sawmill. The little ramp needs replacement a well.

This building came apart some too:

I love this little building, the sawmill office and specialty storage

Have a good evening and stay warm

Hope you feel better very soon!

I was very lazy most of the day just sat in my recliner and watched the birds and watch it snowing.

I've heard rumors of a CSX new logo but couldn't find much a few months ago. Seen a Trains magazine mention it but caught a Youtube video of one on a newly painted engine. Looks like they're using the original CSX logo and not the boxcar logo. Hmmm do I put it on my new engine I got before I weather it.

Got the new Bowser RS3 home today. WOW what a loco! 1st off, it is very well protected on its box, where is is screwed to a base and nothing touches the shell of the loco! After undoing the 2 retaining screws I put her on the track. Without the sound on, the only thing you hear are the click clack of track joints, otherwise it runs silent, Hit F8 and the sound comes alive! Pure Alco burble at idle, wonderful horns, brake squeals, bell , air pop offs etc! I love it!!
Bowser informed us the entire run, including the society's road number had been sold out. The next run will be in fireball paint, followed by another run in speed letter to include the hammerhead units! I can't wait!!

My Atlas units may be for sale soon!!

When I first heard about the Baltimore FF's I immediately thought of arson.
Curt: When I read some of the initial reports, I asked myself why they were conducting an aggressive attack inside a known vacant row, that had previously been involved in a fire. Then I saw the dispatch which clearly advised that "people were trapped", which would require an aggressive search, regardless of conditions. Then the news that there was a person of interest in the investigation, and that there was a reward for information about such person. Finally that the reward had increased incrementally to $100,000, lead me to the same conclusion.

Referring to my own situation 44 years ago, the first in companies conducted an aggressive internal attack, assuming there were tires burning. Once they learned the other chemicals were involved, they were pulled out and went to a defensive operation. Still remember how weird it was to see greenish flames. I consider myself fortunate. The fire effectively ended my career as a firefighter....

Terry: Thanks. Still have numerous hot spots to deal with. It's going to take a while to clean that site, once it cools.

Karl: Awesome! I was able to order one, with sound, from MBK this afternoon. PRR of course. After seeing yours, glad I did.

The Russians are holding the Europeans to ransome over gas,so it pushes up gas prices worldwide.

if you look at uk gas prices, European prices you’ll see. The u.k is just running out on a government cap which has bankrupted a whole host of electrical companies, they use the gas to produce electricity, the cap. Is going up 54 percent, and the Ukraine/Russian isssue will likely mean the Russians put up the fuel nmore cos Europe is reliant on it, the greenhouse effect rules mean many fossil fuel companies know they need to make money while they can to invest in other businesss before they are forced out of business. Certainly they will chase massive profits until we are all not so reliant on fossil fuels snake biting itself syndrome. Imo.
d I saw she’ll put out massive profits, so they are benefiting from the price hikes even if they didnt cause them, but I assume they had big profits due regardless.

Excellent detailing on the kit and I like the green weathered finish

I would consider the bit by the window as a lift

the cove can slide forward on the wood rails

the track behind is to cross from one side to the other, not pretty just basic, joins are near enough the section if disaster hits

out in case of repair, that said your past that point, and if in the unfortunate event of a repair being required, and the unlikely if I’m honest, then they can work from the outside, usually I’m a half full glass type of person, but I like to avoid issues, my own area similar to this has been designed with a part p ullout out and a worse case removal

You can see the overhang that can lift up

Good morning all! Overcast and 18 degrees here in SE Illinois on the way to mostly sunny and 24. Wind chill is supposed to be between 0 and 10 during the day, then a low of 0 tonight with wind chill between -2 and -12. I hate Winter.

Drinking my coffee and heading out for work soon. Not looking forward to the drive down there today with all the drifting snow and slick roads. Definitely going to leave a bit early for the 25 mile drive. On the plus side I'm scheduled for a short day today so I should get home before the temp starts dropping more.

We had our daughter and her family over for dinner last night for her birthday. Had a great time and I stuffed myself as usual with the awesome dinner my wife cooked.

That's about it. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning All from the frozen tundra of the Central Plains,

Back at the office this morning. Roads weren't too terrible, however 2° is a tad bit chilly!

Train show in Wichita this weekend, and I'm thinking of going. Shoulder and neck are really bothering me. I don't know if it's the cold or the fact I may have aggravated the disk in my neck.

DJ: Hope you feel better soon man. I have a disk bulge between C5 and C6 which radiates into shoulder and left arm. I had managed to get completely off of the NSAIDs for about 7 weeks, but started back again after running the snowblower this week.

Dave (LASM): You get better as well. Sounds much like the newer strain of Covid.

Try to be back later.

Good Morning to all you frozen icicles out there. I will not complain about my current 55F looking for 67F later on under sunny and windy skies! Goodness, what a phleora (is that a word) of lousy conditions all over.

FLO - large cuppa deer camp coffee this morning. please place my order for a three egg omelet with sausage, spinach, mushrooms, onions, and some jalapenos added to the fray!

I spent part of yesterday moving furniture around in the den/family room - The Spousal Unit has wanted to shuffel stuff around for months so, when she went shopping yesterday, I did it. This morning I am feeling it!

The Spousal Unit and I busted open one of those GS cookies while watching a British detective series on the Telly - Wife likes the British shows - presently we are into 6 episodes of 'HOPE STREET'.
We almost ate half of the box before we realized it; I said that we were going to run out - She said don't worry - they are everywhere!

I have been following along, just haven't said much because of being on a downer at this time. Really just worn out of all the Covid BS. Speaking of that -the pharmacist son in law seems to be over his bout and yesterday the brother in law told me that he finally got a negative test -he had a pretty rough patch there! The other family BIL's kids (two familys) both daughters and SIL's have Covid - none are hospitalized.

I still have not passed that pesky stone - it is almost like I dreamed about it, but I know different ... dreams do not create pain that makes you want to upchuck.?
I've rambled long enough - thanks for listening. I am sure that TROY is pulling his hair out trying to read this!
