Good Morning All. It's a balmy 44 degrees and partly cloudy here this morning. Predicting light rain for today. It looks like it will be here in about an hour. I'll be at the dentist's office by then getting the remaining stitches removed from where I had the broken teeth removed last week. Kind of a waste of time since there doesn't seem to be any infection or bleeding, but this trip is free...sort of. LOL I paid dearly last week.
As part of my scenery project on my latest upper deck extension, I built and painted a low-relief building out of DPM walls yesterday. It will be a feed and fertilizer dealer when finished. Getting this completed allows me to finish off an open-ended industrial spur that I left. Here are some early pictures of the area. First are three pictures of the rough area, followed by a picture of the same area after I painted the track and ground. These were all taken early last week.

I've since added the road, ballast, and some ground cover. I'll try to remember to take some pictures today.
Karl - Always exciting to see a fire, especially if no one is hurt. Around here it's usually grass fires in August. We have some very efficient volunteer fire departments close by and they pay special attention to my house because I have a pool that they can use to refill their trucks with. Only had to use it once for about 500 gallons while they waited for the "BIG" tank truck to come in from Gainesville. Water is heavy, the little trucks can only hold around 500 gallons or 4000 pounds, the big 18-wheeler has 5500 gallons or 44,000 pounds. They gotta be careful about routing though, some bridges nearby have low weight limits.
Gary P - I like the fuel depot. Now it's time for a little weathering.
Garry/CS3 - Been there, done that as well. After the initial shock and anger wears off, most locos can be repaired.
CS3 - Don't know where you are located, but most medium sized towns have a plastics dealer who might give you some scrap clear Plexiglas to make fences out of. If you go that route, let us know and I can impart some experience working with it...I used to manage a part of our plant where we made Plexiglass skylights. I still have some scraps left over from our operation. Lasts forever!
New Guy - Looking forward to your plans for the second generation layout. Will you be retaining any of the original?
Terry - Yeah, it's very unusual for Tony, as he averaged over 4 1/2 posts a day since joining in 2012.
OK now, it's off to the train shed for my morning ritual. It's fresh on my mind about the pictures if I still remember after the 150' jaunt.
