Well, at least my Packers won yesterday. They certainly looked better than they had in the past few games ... sorry, JOE! I was hoping the Vikings would beat Seattle, but sigh .. they did not. I hate Seattle -- don't know why -- just do! LOL.
I was not surprised to see the Redskins lose. After all, the NFC East is loaded with mediocre teams, and the 'skins were the least mediocre of the group. Now that the Pack is moving on, maybe they will crush Seattle...

Free travel is not the benefit it was years ago. Last time I traveled on my pass it was the auto train. Southbound, the trip was decent, we were even upgraded to a deluxe bedroom. The only bad part was arriving two hours late, then waiting almost two hours for the car to be off loaded. First on, last off. We had to drive from Sanford to Pensacola once we got the car back. Returning, we drove Pensacola to Sanford then stayed overnight in Sanford. We drove over to the facility only to find the train was cancelled due to a wreck in Georgia. Ended up driving home. (That was 2002). I can imagine that your Spousal Unit is up to her neck in frustration.

Howdy ..

Curt .... Good start. ..... I definitely would not vote for a 3 way switch because those combine a left and switch with a right hand switch all in one unit. You don't want a track turning left and right at same time. .... I would move the main line to the left of where it was. ... That leaves room for mine tracks to join together and curve back to the main line where they could join in the distance in your photo. It might help to use one or two curved switches to save space.

Evening fellers. My hands hurt. Been quite a while since I've done some painting.
Lots of cutting in by hand. Then rolled the entire kitchen ceiling. Overhead painting sucks. The arms get real heavy really quick.
When I wasn't painting I was back sanding all the trim to scuff it up for painting.
Now Larry has decided the ceiling paint he got wasn't of good enough quality for his likes so he's getting some more of a better kind and I'll paint it all over again. Uggghhh.

No doubt I'll crash just soon as I'm done with supper.

You all left some good pics for me to come home to. Thanks.
NG: Hope your situation gets squared away. I hate having ill feelings hanging on.

Good evening, it's clear, and 31.

Final update on "the package". It was delivered to a residence in Sacramento. The moment it was delivered there, proving it wasn't sent to me, Paypal removed the money from the scammer's account, and refunded it to me.

Glad you got a refund. Live and learn I guess.
I'm trying to figure out how (other than to completely stop purchasing online) I can avoid this in the future. Before purchasing, I checked the seller out, saw his feedback of 422, and the fact he has been selling on there since 2002, with a 100% positive. The listing was all phrased in correct English, with shipping costs clearly spelled out, and good photos. None of the earmarks of a scam.

I don't know Terry. Personally, I just stay away from ebay and paypal. Paypal worked ok between you and me since we had each other's phone numbers. Chet vouched for the folks in China I dealt with - otherwise I'd probably have stayed away.

Time to pull off supper.

Good evening gentlemen,

Thanks Boris, I am feeling good, warm and dry! Roasted a turkey today so I was sweating in the hot kitchen. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.

I hope everyone is doing well.

BigE you might want to get some Gatorade or another sports drink to help you with those tired muscles. Keep up the good work!

Terry I hope you are playing the Power Ball, you are overdue for some good luck and when it comes I would expect it to be big to make up for all the bad luck. When it come to online purchases, stick with eBay if you can or PayPal and credit cards at least.

Great pictures and too many great posts to mention them all

What a disappointing weekend for football other then the Chiefs game. I felt sick to my stomach after the Vikings game, what a terrible way to lose. I can only imagine how the kicker and all associated with the Vikings must feel. It's a shame, the Vikings have to take responsibility as a team, they had many chances, but let it come down to a last minute field goal. That is what I call "the Agony of Defeat" Kickers should always be setup to kick from the middle in pressure situations.

It's past my bed time but I wanted to say HEY!

Good night everybody!

And hopefully homeland security has become involved. A nice armed raid would go down well.

So far I've had very good luck with PayPal and eBay. Guess if you stay at something long enough, you'll eventually get burned.

Got a call from the Union hall this afternoon for a short job at a chemical plant about 45 miles from here. I go for 5 hours of orientation tomorrow, then I'll work two twelve hour shifts on nights as a stainless welder. Hopefully, the worst part of the job will be the smell! Guess we'll be welding nozzles on a stainless steel tank.

Good morning, America! It's 21° and dropping to about 14° today. The wind is blowing at 20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. Hope the wind doesn't cause a problem with blowing and drifting. Sure picked a fine day to start working again!

Good morning. It's cloudy and 26.

Good morning guys. See I've been missing out on some stuff on here. I have been on an eBay kick here lately. My lhs is so limited in their stock its unreal not to mention it takes way longer to get items through them than through eBay. So eBay it is. At least for now. Anyways I'll try to post a pic or two of my progress with the cork. I took a day because my fingers really hurt from pushing the tacks in to hold the cork in place. I'll do some more to it this morning. Notice that one of my turnouts is extremely bent. So much so that the middle of the turnout pushes away from my center line off the edge of the cork. I'll post a pic of that as well. I have cut a piece of cork to try to mask that. I don't think there is much doing with it. If anything I can place it somewhere else on the layout for a more straight turnout.

Good Morning All. Today it's 32 degrees and clear and dark outside. Going up to the lower 60's today. Yesterday turned out a little warmer than predicted...55 degrees with no wind so it was really nice.
Sherrel - OK, here's the last of them

Eric - Keep at it, although this working does take time away from modeling and beer drinking.
new guy - Glad things worked out for you, one word "Karma". Any further progress on the "new plan"? While I am running trains, I think of all kinds of stuff to improve or enhance the layout. I need to write them down because when I am finished I have forgotten them all!!!! If I could only remember where I left those missing brain cells.
Chet - Did you ever get the grill unfrozen? By the way, that's a really nice looking Chevy. One doesn't see too many of the 1959 models. My dad owned a four door Biscayne back then. I learned how to drive a stick shift (column-mounted) in that car around 1965. There's still a scar on the gatepost back home from that car.

Off to the train shed to await daylight.

Willie

Good morning gang,
21 and clear, brrrrr.
Time to make the donuts. .....

C-c-c-cold up here!

I yousta DO that, I did not see the sun for months at a time when working for both Dawn and Duncan!

BEST job I ever had for the FIRST two weeks then the powdered sugar gets into your eves, lungs and bloodstream and you NEVER want to even SEE another of doughnut EVER again!

Dawn beats the pants off Duncan and I'll never know how they went under so quick! Much better mix in the cake product and the yeast product was also a bit better! and DON'T get me started on the coffee Duncan pumps out! BLEA! "Oily Swill" is the best description I've heard!
