Bingo!!! Top left pic is the paint scheme. Where the front of the engine is white, my model is yellow similar to the bottom left. It has road # 6500. It's an old AHM, it has one upright motor, runs but more of a shelf queen than anything else.

The nose is yellow. lighting and fading of the paint.

You can see all three paint schemes in this photo to the left.

I think that is the old C Liner. Front truck electrocal pickup, rear truck drive, with traction tires on either two or four wheels, depending on which run it was.

Good afternoon. It's windy and 30.
"The Package" has been updated to arrive today. This, in spite of the fact it was in Sacramento at 5:00 am today, which is 8:00 my time. They'd better hustle to get it here. I am not sure why it has spent the last five days in California, being shuffled from one spot to another, between San Francisco and Sacramento.

It's a very nice 60 degrees out .. low was 36 .. high will be in the 65 area under partly sunny skies.

Nice pictures all! Curt, I'm having a time trying to visualize your plans. Doesn't matter .. I will like the end result anyway.

Spousal Unit was not able to get on a flight yesterday - seems most everything from the East to the West is full up. Free travel an't what it is cracked up to be for sure. 10-15 years ago there was always r..oom on flights, but not anymore. Last March I was stuck in Washington for three days and wound up buying a ticket on another carrier to get home. No fun just sitting at the airport all day long then going to a hotel for the night and getting up at the crack of dawn to try it all again. Here's hoping that she will make it today.
Her best shot today is going from Wilmington to Philadelphia then to San Diego.

Well, at least my Packers won yesterday. They certainly looked better than they had in the past few games ... sorry, JOE! I was hoping the Vikings would beat Seattle, but sigh .. they did not. I hate Seattle -- don't know why -- just do! LOL.

Willie! More pics of the motorcar, please.

The SNAFU has been resolved and my relationship with the third party is intact!

When you are right you are RIGHT and no amount of "unhappy talk" can change FACTS!

THAT is the kind of knowledge I'm afraid I don't have time to learn about this hobby having started so late in life. Another example of the value of the forum.

Another package update.
It is out for delivery in Sacramento, California. 3000 miles from my house.

Well, while you are in Sacramento retrieving your package, you can visit the CA Railroad Museum. ... They have some great items on display. SP Cab Forward. SP E9. ATSF F7A and F7B, and so on. .... Have fun !

Terry- Mine has two traction tires on the front truck.

I'll bet MURPHY is in charge of deliveries .

Afternoon All,

Did some chores this morning then spent 2.5 hours prepping the layout for the first project. I thought about my progress as a modeler this last weekend while waiting for a seminar to start. I have been going to the show for the last 4 years coinciding with my start back into MRR'ing. That first year I almost didn't go because at that time I had a layout with crappy track work, lousy scenery and I felt like a fraud going to the show, but a friend at the club convinced me to go. This year I felt like I belonged there. I am not saying I am as good or better than everyone else, but I feel my modeling has improved to the point that I am on a level playing field with everyone else. Just some thoughts.

LASM- Nice pics. The water features look outstanding.

Chet- WOW. Better you than me. It has been in the 60's here for about 2 weeks so winter finally arrived here. Great photos.

Chessie- Looking good. Are you going to ballast?

Terry- I looked at the 3 way T/O. I think it would require significantly modifying the coal lead geometries to make it work. I figured out a way to connect the 3 leads with 2 T/O's on the main. I could do it with 1 if I had another RH T/O but I already ordered 2 LH's and do not believe MOH would be very happy if I tell her now I need another RH one. So... I live with 2 on the main. She is the family money tracker and up to know has been very generous with my addiction so I don't want to push it.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Too bad about Bowie, I never thought much of his music but I admired him for the brilliant way he handled his "Fame"! (LOL!)

He worked it so that he got PAID for going everywhere he went! Hotels, resorts, 'posh' retreats, ALL paid HIM to go there for the 'prestige' of being able to say he stayed there! He basically turned HIMSELF into money! BRILLIANT! He's playing the 'main stage' now! WHAT a SHOW that's gonna be! He can open for Sinatra! (maybe he already HAS! BADDA BING! RIM SHOT! "oooooo!") Too soon?

They must be having difficulty deciphering the Chinglish addressing, better go outside and wave your arms about, shouting "Over here, over here"

Thanks for the photo Curt. Looks like a good start. I do agree with Terry about possibly using a three way switch. I ended up using a three way in one of my yards and saved quite a bit of room.

Tried to order some Intermountain metal wheels from MB Klein today but they only had 33" wheels in bulk packs. Don't need 100 wheel sets. Just enough, probably 12 pair for the NP passenger cars I got from Garry. Guess I'll wait until they get more in. I really have enough projects for the time being that I still haven't started to keep my busy for a while.

Dave, thanks for the photos. Looking good.
