I'm staying up late during a tornado watch. Looks like the worst is blowing around us, and we'll be okay.
Ken and Curt .... Thank you too for commenting on my photos.
Speaking of head-on collisions. Below is a photo of a fatal accident in Colorado in 1958 on the Colorado & Southern subsidiary of CB&Q. A passenger train and a freight train collided. The passenger E7 was scrapped. The lead fright unit, an F7A, was later rebuild into an F9Am by EMD. It was number 700D.
I modeled 700D after the rebuilding using a Stewart F9A for starters.
How many can say they have one of these on their layout?
The chopper is an operational R/C unit that I've had sitting on my TV for a couple years. I haven't flown it in quite some time.
Out of the blue one day, I took it upstairs and just sat in on the table.
Yesterday I decided it needed a pad to land on. The pad is nothing more than a piece of card-board with gray spray paint. The "H" was cut out from a piece of poster board.
At some point I may build an elevated platform for it with blinking lights around it.
In the mean time, it was just a little something to do.
E.
Does anyone know him outside of here? Give him a call.
69 and steady rain here now. YAYYY!!! Knock down that pollen!! At this time yesterday they were already reporting pollen count over 6100 (yes, sixty-one hundred).
Knowing it was going to rain today, I ambled up to the grocery store earlier. Almost half-way back I could hear some rumbling in the distance.
About a hundred yards from the front door and just started to sprinkle on me.
Not much I can do today train-wise. I could do some cleaning up. CJ is coming back tomorrow for another visit. We're going to do a decoder install on one (maybe two) of my old DC engines.
He's also going to show me how to hook my computer to a program track with JMRI without being anywhere near the layout itself. This is something I am VERY INTERESTED to see. My computer equipment is far too involved to even consider moving and layout sure ain't moving anytime soon either.
My HO scale TARDIS was suppose to show up yesterday but nothing did. Maybe today.

It's sunny for the time being. Cooler today again and almost 70 for Saturday. Good, I have to help my sister in law move with my Avalanche and it doesn't like rain if I have the mid gate open. Should have known that buying a truck makes me the family "mover". At least I have plenty of practice moving furniture from work!
Not really "pardner". Without more supplies, not much more I can do really.
Fuel facility: As for gluing those hoses on to their towers and their nozzles, the CA (cyanoacrylate) does NOT work at all.
A small glob of Guerilla glue however DOES.
I'll have to VERY carefully trim off excess of course.
I put a small piece of wax paper down to be sure they don't get stuck to anything while setting up.
I just put the nozzles on this morning. Woke around 0300 hours thinking about it.
Nice! The rain has picked back up again. Wash this crap away!!
Pollen count today is down about 30% from yesterday's 6100+.
The pollen itself doesn't really bother me so much as it does just dirtying everything up.
Suppose to be sunny and upper 70s tomorrow for CJ's drive over here.

"self-healing" cutting matts? Do these things really work?
I find myself all the time finding something to cut on without messing up my table(s) tops.
Usually I just pull a flap off beer box or a piece of cardboard.
