This may sound corny but I am trying to convince myself to be in a better mood. I have started the day around 5 with hellish coughing fits and they won't seem to let up.
I also drewl-saturated both shirts i have during sleep because i fell asleep sitting up.
I also wanted to mention that the other day Dad went to get me some reading stuff. Among other stuff he brought the latest Scientific American and it has article about cancer. The other "happy accident "was he also brought the latest MR!!! How nice was that!!!!!
Of being in a hospital means I have constant interruptions that are keeping me from both.
ERIC == I feel for you, Man!
After about 13-14 days in the hospital, I was convinced that I was going to die in that place - and I actually thought about jumping out the window, but they would not open. (good thing) plus I was too weak to make it out of the bed.
Not even the doctors could figure out what was coming out of me- both ends - un-controllable! They had me in isolation for a week thinking that I had some sort of "superbug".. joy, joy.
Took me a while to convince myself that I could beat it - YOU WILL TOO!
Worked last night until about 10pm helping neighbor replace his hot water heater. Of course none of the connections would match and a couple trips to HD were necessary. Hardest part actually was getting the old one out - after that we had to move a freezer and some shelving to get the new one in place. The steel pipe car bumper was too close to the opening and we needed 3 more inches to slide the new one in place.
After we finished - I came home and looked at my heater. I moved in here about a year after he did, so I guess that I can look at a replacement down the road as well. They wanted $438.00 to install it!
It has the correct horns for the sound file it has, so I'll leave them alone. I will replace horns if the one mounted is wrong, and the sound files have something close enough, but this one only has the single a200 horn sound.
Got a pair of PR-7's from Garry in the old pine tree paint scheme like that also with the wrong horns. I have a set of the 5 chime horns I got from the BN shop in Livingston many years ago. They were the ones I put air to INDOORS. We were reading lips about 20 minutes.

It's such a hassle I was going to let him slide on the redundancy but Gallagher also came to mind with his "Drive on a Parkway, park in the driveway" line!
Sherrel - Water heaters can be a real pain in the butt. When we replaced out old electric water heater a few years ago, removing it was also probably the worst part. It was easier putting a gas line into the space than removing the old heater. Sure do like the upgrade to the tankless though. Probably paid it off in a couple of years with the savings we had on the utility bill.

When we remodeled, the plumbers assistant cursed and wrestled the old one up the cellar stairs by himself! None of the others would help him! I think the scrap money was going towards his beer fund and we all know what kind of physical miracles can be done by 20 something's when beer is involved!
I think EMD delivered F units with the two horns, and several railroads later replaced them with the chime horns.
I finally was able to upload one of the pictures into Photobucket. The Upload button at he top of the scheme sent me into a frustrating loop repeatedly asking me to log in. .... Later I got into my library and found an upload button in one of the spaces for photos in the file. I clicked on that. Uploading was very slow.
Below in the foreground is the Tyco 50' flat car I upgraded. It has new trucks and Kadeem #5's mounted to the car frame. ... Behind it are 50's flat cars with pole loads. The two closest to the SD-9 are also upgraded Tyco 50' flats. .... In the background, the tractors are on upgraded cheapie 40' flat cars.
