Good Morning All. 40° and mostly clear dark skies this morning. Can't see the moon. Looking around yesterday and noted that it's time to attach the grass catcher to the tractor and mow up the leaves. Yard is brown, yellow and red all over. Cover the garden with them now and work them into the soil over the winter.
Trainwise I continued to just do odds and ends yesterday; installed a few more ground throws, added ties to the blank spaces in the flex-track joints and planted a couple of the trees that I made Monday. Put up the tree making stuff instead of making some more like I should have. Dug out the Preiser Santa and his "naughty" helper to set up in a town display, but can't decide on this years placement. Need to refresh his Christmas tree, but of course I had already put the tree stuff up, sigh!
Johnny - I know the 1" x 4" feeling. I have gone into HD before and they all looked like hockey sticks (to borrow
Bruce's phrase), and other times there was a perfect bundle there. Last visit was a perfect bundle so I over-bought! Too soon for the Christmas tree here. 12/15 at the earliest. But I leave it up until Epiphany on 1/6.
Terry -
Reality is a crutch for people that can't handle drugs...
Well spoken.
Not too sure that my wife would appreciate the caboose anywhere on the property. Of course there's that spot beyond the train shed behind the pond that she can't see...but the cost of transporting it might kill the deal.
Ray - At least you get to put up outside decorations. Like
Chet, I don't because no one could see them anyway.
Justin - Nice job. You're right about adding trees, don't forget a few small shrubs.
Beady - Some people just don't appreciate artful decorations! Good luck moving forward on the basement floor.
Sherrel - Is there really room for the rosin core in .03mm solder??? I guess that it's a good thing that airports didn't measure taxiing in metrics!!!!
Curt - Signal looks fine.
Everybody have a great day.
