So sad! Another Grew up listening to her music and still do occasionally.

Another legend gone!
She visited my hometown in 1968. 😁

Good evening folks, 88f here, down from 97 earlier. Had a nice day today, we went to a town named Searcy nearby and my Wife's Aunt took us to dinner at Western Sizzlin Steakhouse. Nice meal with a sirloin steak and the salad bar even had really good fried okra on it. I finished off with fruit for dessert, peach cobbler and banana pudding are vegetables, right?
Before dinner we did some shopping, the Ladies raided several stores and I hit Hobby Lobby, found some stuff for my Christmas mini-train layout and a deal on strands of LED lights for cheap!
The forum is behaving now, but I wasn't able to log out earlier either.

Yeah, today was aggravating. Most of the time I've chosen good times to get in even on days folks were complaining and didn't have more than minor slow down. Today was "not get in" day for most of the day, or get lucky for 30 seconds before it got bad again. Though now it seems to be behaving.

An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later.
This is the first time I have not gotten the above message in the last 12 hours.
I was able to put away my wife's walker and hobble around without a cane today. The knee is SLOWLY improving and is not painful most of the time.
If I twist the knee too much, I still get a sharp reminder not to do that. However, I can walk with a cane outside the house to keep my balance and my range oof mption for the knee is improving daily.
I'm not ready to dig any ditches yet, but I may try to buy a few groceries tomorrow.
Thanks for the prayers and good wishes from so many people.

Looks like the same thing going on not a new server well kind of it's now with Unified Layer which owns Network Solutions the old server company so same old stuff just a different company using the same servers Junk

so I'm kinda like some others done here until its proven to be a new server company not just a part of the old one

While I am still waiting for Bob to come up with a solution, I have to agree with you completely. And I stand by my opinion that it isn't the bots like some have posted. This is this afternoons stats...

Well, it didn't even post correctly! It has become like dealing with the government, no real answers and no action!
It’s not the bots. I asked Ai why we were having trouble and Ai says if we can’t access the system then neither can the bots. It was a good 1.25 page response that said unfiltered bots can expose issues already within the servers powering the forum. Mainly lack of security and upgrades. I tried on and off this afternoon and gave up

just so you guys know I'm not making this up I used hosting checker to see who this site is on

That doesn’t necessarily tell you who is hosting it. It tells you who is assigned the network address block the address is in.

They are the “owner” of that address. They could have sub/assigned it to someone else without updating the ARIN database as they own the net block and subnet smaller blocks to their customers.

I'm now in a catch-22 between my cellular provider and my bank. Because of all the scam calls I've been getting on my phone, calls are restricted to known contacts, and all others are automatically blocked and sent to voicemail. My bank has decided I'm a scammer, and wants to have their automated system call me with a code to confirm I'm me. So, the automated call gets automatically blocked and sent to voicemail, which records the last digit of the code before the bank's automated system hangs up. Rinse and repeat.

I had a similar issue with my credit union a few days ago. They were having me do the two-bs authentication 100% of the time as I was trying to open a checking account for my wife. The first time, they had a selection to remember my browser, which I clicked on. Still had to get the authentication code. So the next time I logged in, I checked the settings and ensured that my browser was there. Still no luck. Finally, I sent them a message about it and walah! Miraculously, I didn't have to do the bs anymore. I had this issue with another website so I am wondering if our friends overseas did a hacking run that did something to several websites.
