Watching this video about drone rounds. Although the drones being used are unladen and more agile than what they would be, it does show to me how a drone could tie up personnel in trying to knock it down vice doing the mission and using up a lot of rounds.

It's a bit long.

Freeze Candies is closed on Monday at the main store in West Allis, the West Allis Cheese and Sausage store and deli was excellent, State fair Park was super busy drive by only) for the fair opening on Thursday and Hiawatha Hobbies had 6 of the 9 paints though online showed everything in stock.

Moma Rosa is Thomas Dambo troll #11 for us. We saw 6 at the Morton Arboretum outside Chicago in 2018, Malin in Austin 2025 before she they believe was torched in 2026. We have seen the 4 trolls in Iowa

I came to Wisconsin in 1970 for college. Except for 3 years I’ve been here ever since. Never have ai heard anyone say good bye in any of the above. Terry says she has heard the “ tell your folks I say hi”. BUT they are funny

According to Claude, and what my daughter who was an eye tech for an Opthamologist (MD) told me, it matches what the two optometrists have said to me after each of my PVDs

The floaters and flashes themselves typically fade over weeks to months as your brain adapts and the vitreous debris settles, though some residual floaters are common permanently. Rarely, if floaters are severe enough to significantly impair vision, a vitrectomy (surgical removal of the vitreous) is an option — but that's reserved for significant, persistent cases, not standard for routine PVD, and carries its own risks that usually outweigh the benefit for garden-variety floaters.

In a nutshell, the PVDs are a sign of aging. The floaters do subside (usually) over time. I'm at the point where I don't notice them in my left eye after 2 years, but now the right eye gets to annoy me for a while.
 


@PNKFLOYD have a Happy Birthday. G'niece had to get a flat tire fixed, so she didn't come to lunch. So I took my Missus to a BBQ place here and we had a nice lunch. Worked on Nscale vehicles and buildings today. Making progress on stuff for the modules, while I'm enjoying thus, I will be glad to reach the point where I can get my attention back to the layout.

Mine are getting worse and is keeping me from focusing on what I'm trying to see. That's what I'm going to see the doc tomorrow for. Yep, vitrectomy - scary thing.

It's funny though, that when they do a vision check with the C's (slot up, down or sideways), they tell me I have 20/30 vision, so they don't understand why I want to get rid of them.
 
Wx forecasters have been prediction record heat for Denver and the Front Range. They are right! DIA recorded 102 officially yesterday. I saw 103 for a short period in my car OAT gage! A little cooler (100) today, as the sun has been obscured by smoke from fires. Supposed to get some relief (high 80's) tomorrow and Wednesday, but then back up after that! Hasn't been this hot in about 100 years. Which shows that this "global warming" stuff is cyclical, and several climatologists have evidence it is due to the sun's activities, as shown by some recent mass ejection activity and other such stuff. Our A/C went out the other day! Call the HVAC people and the tech discovered the condenscate drain pipe was blocked, causing a float switch to shut the A/C down! Fixed it, and it is back in business, thankfully! Our two doggies like to sit near the vents.
