I guess my comment on not rooting for the Yankees anymore has upset a lot of people here.

Feeling Guilty?

Not for nothing, George, I gave up on the Yankees, around the time they moved to the new Yankee Stadium. Several Reasons, but kissing A-rod's butt, and expecting Derek Jeter to take a home town discount is just one of my grievances. The way they treated some of the long time season ticket holders, is another. YES Network, another reason, plus a host of others, including the ones you cited.
I view sports, the same way I view this forum...No Politics, No Religion, etc...Baseball and other sports are for entertainment, not for expressing one's opinions. There are numerous venues for that...Further, I don't need to be educated, informed or have my awareness raised by some TV network, during a sports broadcast. Paid commercial spots...well they are generally in bad taste, but help pay the bills...but they are on during intermission or between innings, when I'm doing something else.
The Mets and Phillies are more entertaining, and I'm a Baltimore Orioles fan FWIW.
BTW, and going off topic, How about Mad Max Scherzer, not only getting kicked out for a sticky glove and hand, but getting a ten game suspension? That's a little excessive for a first offense...eh? Of course,MLB is an organization that has completely embraced sports gambling, but still upholds their lifetime ban on Pete Rose...
Going further off topic, time for a rant!
Verizon, and it's authorized vendors get the award for lack of complete transparency. I'm referring to the "deal" we supposedly got on the wife's I-14 phone. It's very possible that nothing the VZ store person told us was correct. The sales agreement only says the phone costs $810, and at that price we wouldn't have bought one. But the "recovery" promotion supposedly discounts the phone $500, bringing the price down to $310.00. Won't see that adjustment until July, if at all. Lesson learned...I got one thing fixed today, but the rep could not find the promotion, even though I have a copy of it. Ma Bell's offspring, keeping mom's sleazy traditions.
