Thanks for your answers. Because I'm using the old Windows 8 I don't have Microsoft Defender. That's the reason why I need some serious stuff for my PC security.
Christian win 8.1 comes with Defender it may just be turned off You can turn it on and off
Or go here and get update from Microsoft I don't know which ver of 8.1 you have X64 or X86 but they are both there
I never really liked defender but it will work

It's only April and there are lots of bright spots in the Orioles so far.

I'll repeat what Earl Weaver used to say, "you can't win the pennant in April, but you can lose it"
Earl's teams were often slow starters.
I have been trying to follow them without actually watching them. Two nights ago, they came from behind to beat Oakland, last night, they couldn't rally, and lost against a really bad Oakland team, (3 and 9). If they can play 500 ball through May, they have a shot at the playoffs. If they don't......

The big question is still remaining: Norton 360 Deluxe or Bitdefender ? I'm a bit lost here...o_O
Christian: Maybe the BIG question should be: Why do you need AV at all? You know not to click in any email you don't trust the source AND you do not just click links on websites that are unknown ... right?

I have not had any AV on any of my windoz boxes. And that is all the way back to WFW. Have never had a rogue on my machines and have taught the wife and kids NOT to just click something. I do not worry at all with the Linux boxes I have. They don't even make AV for them that has any market share. PCMatic tried to market stuff for Linux; although I suspect that it went away becuase it did not sell. Note that Norton and McAffee were included with some of the windoz installs - boy did they slow stuff down. Then if you got something else and forgot that something was already on, they would fight each other big time.

If you just want that warm and fuzzy feeling that you are protected, PCMatic is something like $50 a year and for multiple devices. Also it is made in the USofA and not one of those 3rd world countries; if that matters to you at all.

Good Afternoon All!
63F at 35% and partly. Rain in forecast Saturday.

I survived the home owner logging stint. Still have 3 40 footers down that have been topped and limbed that need chunked although I am not too worried about them as we have all summer to get the back portion cleaned up. We will burn what we can during this month, then stack the rest and let it get dry, dry .. dry for next spring.

Yesterday and so far today I have been getting the ground leveled in places so the beer don't bounce out of the lawn tractor while mowing. We now have 'splotches' in places with bare dirt. Maria put grass seed on them and so far the birds have not found it so we may be good to go with the rain coming.

Not much done in the train cave nor much else to report.

My Mom followed every game. I miss her reports. I try, but I fall asleep. I do follow the stats online. I'm hoping we are within striking distance at the trade deadline. The minors are overflowing with talent. Plenty of prospects to offer in trades. It should be a fun season.

It would be more fun if the Nationals got on track.

Good morning, Everybody!

Have an enjoyable day!

To bed at 6pm and up at 2am?
Sometimes I get wild and stay up past 7pm.
Morning All

Went to bed at 11 pm still awake at 5 am, so got up and started my day, already done the grocery shopping, been to the garage and got my expansion tank replaced, found my misplaced worm gear for my switcher, (now the flipping motor pulses for some reason, so no idea what that is).
Time for Breakfast I think, and then onto something more train related I hope.

Morning all,

Leaving earlier than normal as I was late getting out yesterday. Yeah for vacation I guess.

Currently 60° going for a high of 84° later. Possibility of storms overnight, with hail and high wind possible. Tomorrow a chance of rain early and a high of 55°. It will rain overnight, because I have a rototiller on reserve.

Got our tax refunds from both state and federal in about a week as week as well back in February. Got way more back than we should have, but with the wife's bonuses and lump sum severance, they over withheld taxes as they always do. Especially when it's to close to the end of the year to compensate. This year we'll get an additional bit of deduction as she turns 65.

Try to BBL
