Good morning from the start of another beautiful and maybe windy day in So. Central Wisconsin. 55f degrees now heading to 81 and the Weather Channel app says 6 mph winds. Yesterday the winds were consistent, about 20mph all day. Today the app says winds in the high teens after 11AM.

Terry and I drove 12 miles south of us to walk in a different area for a change of outlook. Ended up walking just under 5 miles and she was worn out. She walks per her fit-bit 10-13,000 steps per day. I use the health fitness app on my iPhone. That records actual movement to count steps, her fit-bit counts arm movement, not the same. Been telling her for years to get rid of the fit-bit and either carry the phone or buy the Apple Watch. After yesterday, she might be convinced. Today the 2+ miles walking will be on property.

Investment, taxes and money. Yesterday I mentioned one of the area wealth management advisors was arrested it turns out like 3 weeks ago. 2 of the neighbors out walking stopped by while I was in the front yard relaxing and mentioned the arrest. One of the guys asked if we ever checked with that guy as he and his wife were the ones who recommended the crook to Terry. Said yes but his promises were too good to be true so we never did business with him. They were happy to hear that. Turns out this couple had been with him for over 20 years and had no issues. 4 of their friends though that they recommended him to did get caught in his scheme. Terrible what people try to do to others. He was targeting the newly retired.

enjoy the day

Morning all,

Tons of BS happening here before I go on vacation next week. I can hardly wait for the repercussions of being gone. 2 years 10 months.....

Clear and 55° going for 81°. Windy day again with fire danger in the area.

Christian: Hang on to whatever your using. Support for Windows 8 died in January of 2016 and support for 8.1 ceased in January of this year. The ability to find an update to 8.1 or anything working with either version gets harder. I would concur with using Windows defender if you could, but pretty sure you won't find it any longer on Microsoft's site. That's why I'm glad to see Windows server 2012r2 go away, although it is additional work for me.

Good morning, Everybody!

Tampa Bay won again. The Rays are now 12-0!
The Rays are now one win away from tying the MLB record for the best start to a season. The 1982 Atlanta Braves and 1987 Milwaukee Brewers share the record at 13-0. This 12th win in a row ties the Rays franchise record for a winning streak.
And...the O's have dropped to 6-6. Hopefully they are not regressing.

Good Morning!

Where's that Hazmat suit when I need it!
Yesterday, the wife had me spray the trees outside with one of her evil, homemade witches concoctions. She believes it will kill every living bug egg hiding under the bark.
Even though I was wearing a mask, safety glasses, and gloves, my eyes were still burning at the end of it. Plus, I could smell sulphur. A twenty minute shower made me feel better. - What a fella won't do to maintain a healthy relationship with a loved one.
If this were 200yrs ago, she would have been burned at the stake for witchery.

That was the only job I did yesterday. Then I went downtown, to stroll the tracks and get some fresh air.
There were a couple of very big, new engines parked down there. I know what they were doing; waiting for the local switchers to line up a train of cars over in the staging area. Then , these big engines would go pick-up the train and haul it away to distant destinations.

And, that pair of potable water tankers that have been doing nothing for 3 years, are still sitting down there, rotting away. I have no idea what the plan is for these cars, but, they are slowly being vandalized by those scumbags that seem to enjoy destroying what isn't theirs.

Well, I suppose it's back to renovation work today. I'm hoping to have the interior done before summer.

Oh, Oh! The wife just put her arm around me, and whispered another outside yard job. Guess I'm putting up netting around her gardens, to protect from deer eating her flowers. The reno is back on holding pattern.

Thank you for the likes and comments on these simple posts!
Suppose it's time to make tracks. Have a great day!

A week ago this past Mon/Tuesday it snowed 12-18". By Saturday it was in the 50s and it touched 80 on Tuesday. Yesterday was more overcast and in the 60s. Today it is supposed to give 1"-2" of "wintry mix". Then a day in the 40s and then slowly back into the 50s/60s. You can tell Spring is upon us when you actually have to check whether it is t-shirt weather or jacket weather.

I'll post a house update soon. A week ago today we poured the main floor walls concrete. We ran out at the end by a yard or so -- probably due to two smaller blowouts, one forgotten window plug, and extra waste trying to get the under window sill area on a bunch of windows filled, with a not-great pump operator. This week the framers have started with interior bearing walls and eventally the "bonus space" floor over the garage and front of house area.

The dang "honey do's" take a lot of time away from trains.

I seen something funny on our dog Val this morning so I called my best friend's son who happens to be a vet. He says bring her down and I'll take a look. It's a deer tick. I'm not going to charge you for the visit, He no longer owns the business just works there now but he tells me your going to need to buy 2 tick collars for the dogs because they'll be more ticks around. Good thing I didn't have to pay for the visit. The 2 collars cost $173.00.
If everything goes well with my wife I'll probably be playing golf with him this coming Friday.

The big question is still remaining: Norton 360 Deluxe or Bitdefender ? I'm a bit lost here...o_O
If it were me, I would follow Patrick's advice. Stay with Norton.

I'll add save your money and stay with what you have. Save all you can until you can replace your computer. You could probably find a good deal on a windows 10 computer. I believe windows 10 will be supported by Microsoft until 2025.

In the meantime, stick to trusted websites and don't download anything.
