Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those who enjoy a good wheater whiskey.
Patio sitting season has commenced thanks to the 70° f weather this week.
Yes, that is a Wheater Whiskey (Larceny) in my glass
had dinner with Sis-in-law and her roomie tonight. SIL is having issues at work. She is an LPN in a Breast Cancer doc's office. She's one of three, and the nursing supervisor who oversees her office and several others is getting pushback from one of the other offices that has to cover. Supposedly "Rooming" a patient is what is at issue. The borrowed nurses grumped because the other LPNs in the office are not "rooming" the patients (calling them from the waiting area, taking vitals, and getting them ready to see the doc.)
Never mind in the in-house testing, the wound care (some of these patients have undergone recent surgeries), etc. the reg nurses are handling. Rooming a patient seems like the easy part compared to changing dressings on surgery sites, running the autoclave, handling phone calls from worried patients, etc.
Well, the grumpy nurse supervisor lit into them via email. And someone on the receiving end had enough of her BS. Fired off an emotional plea to the COO of the hospital system. So, Tues is lunch with the COO. Not what SIL wanted, but it is what it is, now.
I, of course, offered to write the nurse supervisor into the book I'm just beginning. She'll probably be victim #2, after making an arse of herself. Got most of it planned out. Just need to figure out why/how she's connected to the perp...
You know what we authors say: Make me mad, and I'll write you into my next novel... and kill you off....
