Afternoon All,

Started out at 67F and the high is supposed to be mid 70's. It has been grey all day threatening rain but other than a couple of drops there's been nothing. Never mind, it's now raining. :) Started today with chores and errands. MOH wanted me to make a clothes/quilt rack out of 3/4" PVC pipe which I did under her supervision. ;) Tomorrow I'm chauffeuring MOH to the VA for bloodwork then I have to go to Kohls. I made the mistake of mentioning that I needed some new shirts for the extended family vacation in SC during the latter part of June. On a different note, I ordered about $130 worth of tree making materials from Scenic Express. I've never made them before, so I figure to give it a try. Saturday I probably won't be in as we're doing a skunk rescue.

Tom- Excellent photo.

David- Interesting photos. Do you live in Scotland?

Guy- Nice photo. To me the interesting part is the yard ladder.

Willie- Nice assortment of buildings and great family photo. I was looking for the guy with the ZZ Top beard but realized you were probably taking the picture.

Hughie- Nice selection of RS units.

Justin- It's great to see you posting again. Great additions to your empire.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Good afternoon, everyone.

Another picture-perfect day in Northern Illinois. Don't remember what it started out as, but it has now officially hit 70 degrees, with a very light breeze. Wife had me run around and throw open some windows.

Went out to my utility shed to check on the mower, as probably early next week it will need to be done. After sitting for 5 months it turned over very slowly but i got it started. I now have the trickle charger on it. John Deere is going to pick it up for its yearly service after I mow over the weekend. I'm kind of late getting that done.

Everyone stay safe and healthy!

Yesterday Charlie would not get closer to his dinner than about a foot away nor did I see him drink anything at all. His breathing was labored and he did not have much energy at all. During the afternoon and late evening I managed a few spoonfuls of water into him from a squeeze bottle.
He seemed to sleep OK and was somewhat "chipper" this morning; however, I had already decided to have him at the Vet for opening this morning. Doctor VET listened to my tale, his heart, his lungs, and felt all over him. He said that we need to do extensive exam and xrays ... said that something was going on inside his body. You know what's coming!!!!
CANCER - Poor little guy is just eaten up with it! Breaks my fu03gn heart - he is only 8 years old - and out of all three - he has been my favorite!
That little guy rode all the way to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and then back here in my lap both directions.
My youngest daughter found him on the side of the road a few miles from us in what we call - The Wine Country. He wasn't but a few months old at that time and we put up signs where we found him plus at half dozen vet offices, the animal shelter, and giant clusters of mail boxes in the country ... no one claimed him!
I'm awaiting his call to go back to the hospital to put him down. I asked the Vet if I could bring him home for one more night (wife's idea) but Vet did not want to agree as I did not want too either.
I just want to be there even though I know I will bawl my eyes out. I was counting back and have had 10 dogs in my life and this will be the 5th one that has had to be "put to sleep". It does not get any easier! :(
The Vet's office just called and asked me to come on down so I am about to do something that must be done, but DAMN, I don't want too!
Thanks EVERYONE for being my Wailing Wall - I may not be in tomorrow!
RIP CHARLIE

I'm sorry, I know all to well the pain you are feeling.

My wife had to hold me so I could fall asleep after I lost my Bessy.

I wish I had words that would help, but I know there are none.

I don't know what else to say.

God be with you, my friend.

I do not have any pets. But I do have grand puppies, Our last one Yoshi who will live forever in my heart was a monster sized dog, wha started having seizures. Last one he ran out Into the street not aware of much and they had to put him down I will miss him
