Afternoon folks!

Math....good stuff! As for figuring out the rise and grade % and such I use the new tech....example: I use these 2 tools now on a regular basis. You can get them from Lowes or Home Depot. The laser works good on a camera tripod very well. I have another laser that you can see being used on my JR's UPPR layout build thread in the early stages of my decks build etc. The angle gauge works great too! Not bad for 19 bucks, it was on sale over the Christmas holidays for 14 bucks the laser was like 49 bucks.

I uploaded some more videos as mentioned last Wednesday. Particularily the new to me MTH ES44, After running it I decided I will not buy anymore MTH locomotives as programing on the JMRI will not work as I cannot change the address from 0003 to 2020. I have a friend that has a MTH DCS system and he will re-program the address for me next weekend. In regards to programming I did order a new ESU interface from YankeeDabbler this past weekend to work with all my locomotives that have ESU Loc sound. So that was actually a good price! Anyhow ya'll have a good day!

I use a laser projector level also, one of my favorite tools.
However I watched a "Rons Trains& Things" YouTube video in which he touted how good a certain brand of digital level worked for him. So I ordered one. After receiving the item, I noticed it did not give the same reading when I rotated the level 180 degrees on the same slope. So I went through the re-calibration steps included with the level. Long story short, after re-calibrating about 12 times I finally tossed the POS level in the garbage. I also had a small iGage brand digital readout level. It too would give a different reading when rotated 180 degrees......it followed the other level into the garbage.
So maybe I just had a couple of bad items but I suggest if anyone uses a digital readout level/gauge, that you check it in both directions before taking the reading as gospel.
Please note I am not big fan of RTNT videos for other reasons than the bogus level deal.

Sore knees are a little better after the Aleve took effect. I folded a heavy throw rug for a knee pad and it worked great for nailing down the carpet pieces. I finished the basement stairs. I think it will be a couple weeks before I cut any more step carpeting.
I can now clump up and down the stairs without sounding like a herd of elephants.
The cats will appreciate me being quieter.

I'm faced with another pet problem. The going on 18 YO has just about reached the point of being immobile in her hind legs. It's been coming on slowly for several months and last night she could not get up from the tile floor. Today I'm going to see about having her put down - I hope to find someone who will come to the house to make it more comfortable to her. I am aware that they make wheels for dogs however she weighs close to 70 lbs and I have to really struggle to get her up and outside.
I will , more than likely, be mostly absent from here for a while.
Sherrel, I am so deeply sorry. Eighteen years is an amazingly long life for a dog of that size.

Please don't be a stranger, we will worry about you.
Maybe some of our stupid stuff can lift your spirits. God knows we come up with some stupid stuff up in here! ;)

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better!

Working hard on back-to-back days shows you are younger than you feel. Or maybe too stubborn to take a day to rest?

I used to live in a duplex. I had a great old guy for a neighbor. But I swear sometimes it sounded like he was dragging dead bodies down his basement steps. I'm not sure if that is relevant, but hey, that's me.

Looks like someone really likes yogurt............
I started Counting carbs in 1/2022. Yogurt has become part of my breakfast routine since then. BORING, but it has helped lower the A1C and weight. Every other morning now along with 1/2 cup of granola.

I found the containers are great for holding the wheels and side frames while I weather a freight car. I also have a few modified to hold some of the cars on a turntable while spray painting.

In this case these containers are acting as the drip cups for the Elmers Glue-All dripping from the armatures.

WELP, I'm around and so far behind. Supposed to be partly cloudy and 77f today. We had a 91f day on Saturday which was really nice!
The Spousal Unit returned from her Dayton drum band competition. The G-Son's group came in 21st in the final readout. Too Bad that they were moved up to a higher/more advanced slot at the last minute. They got screwed because they did not have time to practice for the advanced routine!
I told the G-son that he should not feel bad as being #21 in the nation is pretty damn good!

At that weight it sounds like it would be no fun for her either, a young healthy but disabled dog would benefit from wheels, but an elderly end of life dog will likely find the pressure on her innards heart etc hard to bear, you have my sympathies, my husband literally howled after we got the vet in for one of our dobermans he felt he should have left it longer but they vet said if his back hips went over a weekend he could be in serious pain until a vet could euthanise him and it was kinder to do it sooner, the old boy had a good life. Love your dog say good buy and think of the good times, fyi I took photos only once of a dog after it died and those pictures break my heart, I would keep pictures of your baby alive however bad, one of my girls much loved and she had a great life finally she fell asleep and did not wake her sister was gone before her same way and seemed much fitter you just can’t tell, both much loved

Got the benchwork torn out. Got tons of foam pieces. The garage winter storage is full of stuff.

Tomorrow, I'll start moving the Wall Mount bookshelves for the Writing desk and Hobby Desk. That may be an all day job.

I managed to get a lot of the 2x2ft foam panels off in one-ish pieces. Saved those. this is most of the OMG! I've got to store this so I don't have to go purchase another $5 sheet when I need it next winter!

Evening all,

Watered the garden twice now since I've been home and the talk is that we're supposed to get rain overnight. At this point the garden is still dry 1.5" below the surface. Hopefully it starts to take water...

While I don't want to oversaturate it, it is slowly taking in the water. Rain will help, just need more than a trace.

Smudge: Hope everyone is safe.

Not sure, fire is in the top apartment and spread into the roof, fire services are still trying to gain entry
