Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where the WeatherChannel app says 2”+ of white stuff on the ground with more coming. The snow really doesn’t bother me but the ice covered streets and the steady 16mph winds do, gusts are up to 30. The plows are not plowing but they are dropping the sand/ice melt mix they have used the last couple of years. I’m inside and since we have power and heat we are fine. The Monday grocery run minus soda was done yesterday because we actually believed the guessers on this snow event.

Seems interesting that you want to be a hit man and you go to a website that is titled hitmen for hire or something like that and then advertise you are available for hire. Any wonder why the FBI ”surprised” you at the meeting to arrange a hit??? Let’s see, another 21 year old male, in the National Guard or was and goes online to tell not only the world but the FBI yeah I will kill for $5000. When Terry was telling me this I told her sounds to me like the website was done as a joke. Well it was, the owner of the site who alerted the FBI says it’s a parody site. What are our kids learning now-a-days? Plus $5000 is too low a price for a hit… just saying!

I have the 9 twisted wire armatures formed for a present I need for the Quaking Aspen trees I am trying to make at the bench. Actually I made 30 armatures, in case of. I stopped using the candle wax and hot glue was a mess. So I melted white crayons for the bark of the 9 trees.

I really want to finish off the weathering on the 10 yellow TBOX cars I have been working on. The roofs, some end panel splatter and the last clear coat. Very doable today if I can find the motivation. I busted a ladder on a client’s spline car, last Thursday and couldn’t find it when it bounced off the bench to the floor. I did accidentally find it last night while going to my soda refrigerator in the train room. It’s amazing what bare feet can find. About 6’ away from the bench. I will check how well it cured this morning. A bit of touch up and off the last spline car will go. Then the big intermodal project. 105 well cars and 35 spline cars that I have already clear coated all the equipment. These cars will make up about 3 trains for the client. All the wheels and side frames are weathered and re-assembled. The under frames of the cars are weathered. The rest of the car weathering will go rather quick as he has been over a few times in the last 2 week as we explored how dirty to make these cars. I have 5 combination of color mixtures made up to give the cars some variety but the worst car will only be a medium weathering job. The containers are here but they will not even be looked at until late May. We leave for 6 days on 4/30. The original deal was for about 40 intermodal pieces and to be done by 4/28. It obviously expanded.

I have been telling Terry the last couple weeks that the Fox Network/ Dominion court case will never get to trial. She said that the trial was placed on hold last night with a press conference at 9AM today. No way were they going to have all those big names testify. If the truth were told by those big names, Fox News would be done.

I am going downstairs to walk on the machine that goes nowhere. Enjoy the day

I spent my weekend train room time organizing and still have a long way to go. I got really tired of not being able to find things after making room for the trains. After cleaning up the desk and adding the shelve unit that came from the estate sale, I should put that in quotes as I'm constantly referencing that sale and there's no end in sight, I started building a French cleat wall over my bench. What's with those French people inventing all the cool stuff, fries, toast and cleats? Anyway, turned out to be a lot of work but I got the wall done and now it's time to build hanging stuff.

Oh and my wife and I quit drinking. Mostly because it's too much of a drain on the bank account. Going out to dinner and having drinks just cranks the bill up. So far so good, we got through a few days.

Oh yeah, all that wood came from "The Estate Sale" you've probably heard about.

Best concert I ever saw was Trans Siberian Orchestra. Followed by Green Day, They were nit together loudest was J. Giles band
Mike CGW
I love Green Day,

I have been and seen one band ever, and that was because the other half had a migraine I was driving him and friends to it, Wonderstuff, likely most of you never heard of them lol. He slept in the car I got a great seat, they danced down at the front I would have been trampled lol, but it turned out the bands not playing walked past me and so did the vip audience, so I saw people up close, and their reactions to each other. But to be fair I forgot more than I remember, and I was sober and not spaced out, friends tried smoking pot in the car and the other half said nope not happening that stuff stinks lol.

luvkily I don’t sing I cannot carry a tune to save my life and even on the female end my voice can be high, I probably could break glass lol

Good Morning All. Clear and 50° to get the week started. Looks to be a mixed week for weather, low-80's through Thursday, thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday, mid-60's for the weekend and then a return to spring. Stronger winds than usual all week though, 18-20 mph. So say the weather geeks right now; we'll see.
Should be a good week on the home front as well. Right now we have no medical appointments for either of us scheduled until next week. In a few minutes, I will return to the garden and finish the pathways. Then I will add more t-posts for the tomato cages. I'll get the cages installed later this week while the plants are still small enough to not require a lot of effort to gather up and fit inside. Other than the partial rows that the granddog dug up, everything that I have planted is up and looking good. I'll still plant some green beans once the moon passes into the "waxing" stage on Friday. That will be it for the early season.
Yesterday was a mixed bag around the estate. I did two loads of laundry to take care of household tasks and then trimmed some more trees in the yard that had low branches that swatted me when mowing. Once I empty the dishwasher this morning, it's out into the sunshine for a few hours. It's that time of year again to begin wearing my hat between 10ish and 4ish to protect my head.

As usual for a Sunday, I didn't spend much time out in the train shed yesterday. I did clean the next few structures heading south on the upper level of the layout. I am about halfway through the ones in this quadrant. Next in line are these, most of which I have posted before. These are the last of the structures on the aisle side of the tracks.

Then I move to the other side of the tracks into the city itself.

The first view is only visible when looking from a wide angle from the south, the second is what is seen from the aisle.

Sherrel - Isn't all Chinese Mustard the "hot kind"?

What drives people to do dumb stuff?
I can't answer that, but I believe that you have it coming if you try. I also believe that Narcan should only be used once, second episode, EMT's should walk away. I know that seems harsh, but it's taking resources (time) away from true emergencies.
Moody Blues were another great concert band. It was the first rock concert that we took our three kids to around 1990 or 1991. As usual, they had an orchestra playing with them.
Curt - That 18,000 cows supposedly represents 3% of all dairy cows in Texas, so it shouldn't affect milk prices nationwide; but probably will anyway.
Chris - Neat looking bridge.
Jaz - Smoking pot wasn't ever an issue as most concerts in those days were so filled with smoke that everyone got high. They started banning indoor smoking around 1992 or so, so people just switched to brownies.

Everybody have a great day. If you still work, I hope that the week starts well for you.

He seemed normal to me. My personal interaction with him was in the late 60's when I saw ZZ Top and Steve Miller Band play for free at anti-war protests in Lee Park in Dallas TX. Back then, both bands mingled with the crowds before and after their sets. If I were to guess Billy's favorites, I would guess that The 13th Floor Elevators and Jeff Beck would be among them. The Elevators were legendary in Texas around that time.
I was lying in bed watching TV when the Billy Gibbons thing came on so I didn't have a chance to write them down but I did find this on the internet. The TV show had him give his favorite all time 5 albums but the list below are his all time 13. I didn't list them all because when I hit more it gave a photo of all 13 albums. You know any of these bands? You would think he would have a main stream band in there somewhere.

This is the only one for me; however,

Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

I pretty much love any and all 'hot sauce'!
KATE brought me back three bottles of different kinds from Jamaica with varying degrees of hotness!
CHAD - I made a note to look for that McCormick one that you mentioned.

Maybe I am just weird, but I like to dip my fries in Chinese Mustard - the hot kind!

I like hot sauces. Especially habanero based ones. I have a reasonably good collection.

Try the "Melindas Amarillo Habanero Hot Mustard" if you like a mustard with some kick (and not kill your nose like the Chinese stuff). It makes a great honey mustard that can be used for wings, and the way I like it, with crispy egg rolls. (The frozen kind you bake or whatever is what I use).

I like this mustard so much I bought a case of it. Due to trying to be low carb, not been eating egg rolls and stuff as often but it is really good.

Good morning all.

The rain last night turned to snow at some point. We were fortunate and only got a very light dusting. Doesn't look like its going to get much warmer than it is now at 34 degrees. There is also a wind advisory, so it's pretty raw out there.

Hearing you guys talk about your concerts you have been great, You folks have seen a lot of iconic shows. I think the loudest I was at was Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. I was a Sophomore in H.S.

I think the most memorable concert I went to Was Damn Yankees. They did all their songs, then Ted Nugent did a couple of his songs, Jack Blades did a couple of Night Ranger tunes, and Tommy Shaw did a few Styx songs, they played close to 3 Hrs.

Stay safe and warm wherever you're at!

You're probably correct there. But maybe close (after the Allman Bros concert I referenced earlier); I saw Yes on their Close to the Edge tour in the early 70's that was excellent and may have been nearly as good as a Pink Floyd concert. Much different style than The Allman Bros.

CTTE would have been excellent to have seen live in the original. Many consider it their best album.

(Yes I am, Yes fan. Best band ever)

Yes had some amazing talent in every position, but songwriting started to change in the early 80s. I can't stand "Owner of a Lonely Heart." But I could listen the "Heart of the Sunrise" just about any time. Bill Bruford and Chris Squire were amazing together.

Good morning, all! Well here it is another Monday. You could not ask for a better day weatherwise, simply beautiful. Low humidity, a rare thing here, a nice breeze coming from the north and lots of sun. Currently 66 degrees.

Concerts - I would have loved to have seen Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd in concert. I did see Barbara Mandrell.
The wife and I went to one of those rock and roll revival concerts some years back. Platters and Little Richard and a few others.

I also got to see Rooty Kazootie live back in 1952.
