DECODER INTERFERENCE.jpeg

So I removed the spacer/pin guide and was able to push the decoder all the way down onto the adapter. Coal load able to close now.

Next up will be to make a connector to run the wiring to the loco. I need 6 wires to go forward. Still looking for a suitable connector to fit on that step.

Got the speaker mounted temporarily for fitment. I almost made a mistake and made the shroud too deep. That would have basically sealed the speaker against the bottom. I ended up giving it 2 mm of clearance to the bottom so that the sound can propagate. Otherwise, I'd have to drill out a lot of holes in the bottom plate and the bottom of the tender. Both of which are doable.

I tested the speaker with a sound decoder and it sounds great.

Hi Kriegslok.
I wonder how you manage to put videos on the forum. I am curious.
Thank's beforehand.
Under each video there's a "share" arrow, press that and a screen will pop out with options to share. The easiest way is to copy the "link". Then come back here, post a comment and, space, and hold the screen with your finger, the link you saved earlier will pop up, press once on the link and it will transfer here.

Connectors came in, so I drilled out the location and it fits nicely. The wires have room since the weight has a notch in it. The connector also hides nicely, but will be covered by the floorboard.

A little bit of drill bit burn, but not bad. At least I didn't break anything off in the process. Will be painting the connector black.

Now it's time to add the connectors to the wire.

Well, I got some n scale peoples and started installing them. Then I found out that they were for the Bernina/Glacier Express so before the glue could harden, I pulled them out and put them into car 1. Since I am late to this party, all the available peoples are out of stock, so there will be a lot of quadruplets running around on this train.

Paint the "quadruplets" different colours. Who will notice ? 😉

I thought about that but paint and me don't go well together. I will strategically place them so that it isn't too obvious.
