Lynn,

Looking good and even better to see you too have a little plaster on your rails :)

With that flat area, why not continue your road gradient around to the building, sloping it gently down toward to the tracks.

Yes there will definately be a road coming off the hill and running to the large building and continuing down the slope to the base of the trestle. Its going to need something else just not sure what.

I wasn't happy with the terrain so got to work building up the area. Didn't take much to build up the hill.

Still wasn't happy with most rear, so a few additional mounds to the most rear area.

It's great for us beginners to see layouts like this, but mainly the steps you take to achieve such layout
Thanks and please keep posting pictures

I haven't followed as closely as I should have been to this thread. The layout looks great!

Maybe you already did, and I'm being a pain by asking, but can you tell me more about the building on the right side of the photo. It looks really cool from this image, makes me want to see more - as inspiration for my layout of course!

Thanks guys I really appreciate the nice comments. bklynman01 sorry if I missed your question about the structure, its a scratch built Jeffries Point dioramma, its kind of a mess right now but it looks preety neat when its back to the normal state. I have a few scratch built fsm diorammas that you will see kicking around the layout and also a 177 fsm super sawmill . By the way what does bklynman stand for ?

I see that things are still moving along nicely. I know the feeling. Get a nice scene done and move onto the next and have a mess all over the place. It . is looking great. Wait for more pictures. Well done,

Scratch built - has to be. It looks great, even in it's messy state.

bklynman - I've been using the same name since I was in high school and AOL was the only internet, using 28K dial-up. Never found a good reason to change it. Originally I'm from Brooklyn NY, "bklyn", and the "man" part... well I think that's self explanatory. the "01" at the end because I couldn't get "bklynman" at the time. I do have the professional style email addresses I can use when needed, but they're all linked back to my gmail which uses the same name also. Creature of habit, I suppose.

Interesting twist to the username. Guess I'm just boring.:)

Thanks I'm just about ready for another round of scenery.;)

Thanks montanan.

I found a spare moment before going to work yesterday and put down some scenery on the river banks. Lokks like I'll have to do some dry brushing on the banks a bit where the white from plaster is showing, or perhaps some weathering powder will do the job.
