Thanks Tony, its amazing how much you can get done in scenery with just an hour or two.
I hope to be there soon.
At least, looking at your pictures gives me something to look forward to.
I like that stream, I'd like to have one to, but still don't know where to put it, probably in phase II
Keep posting pictures
Hawkesburytrain you would probably want to figure out where you can put a river before anything else and or after the rail goes in. Well your thinking of where a river can go at the same time if you like bridges this would work together well.
Hey Lynn you need to make your video public for us to see it
Right now it's private, so we have no access
Oops, Hawke is right! I know Lynn, you did this intentionally just to build the suspense right?

Did a bit more work into the corner to get the area filled in. I tried useing some new to me stuff which is called tuf coat for mold making and not really liking it as it doesn't seem to take the ws colors like the pop does. Just need to do the raods a bit more and come back with bushes and trees. I'll have to go back in a few days and try to color up the rocks a bit more. I also attempted to attach the industry spur to the turnout and found the turnout rail was way out of guage, damn loose rail, so changed out the turnout to another and all good except I need to redo the throw wire for the tortoise.
Let me see if I can fix up the video link guys. I'm not sceeeered.

k let me know if that worked?
My next mission which I have never tried will be to try my hand at fascia board. I went today to the lumber store and purchased 2 sheets of 1/8 thick by 4x8 sheets and had them rip each sheet 8 inchs by 8 feet. I will have to cut back the corners a bit ( tired of running into them anyway). As we have discussed in a few of the topic threads, always something else to do to switch things up.
Video worked, thanks for the tour! Layout looks great, I'm glad I'm not the only one with clutter under my layout.

Thanks Steve, glad it worked. We all know its a mess in progress.

Yes it did, thanks
What a mess...lol
Do you have any running trains somewhere hidden?
Great tour Lynn, thanks and the "Under the Bench Work World" is certainly a different and strange place aint it
I have so much "clutter beneath my bench work, it's merged with the bench work itself. Kinda scared of removing it in case the layout hits the deck

Hawkesbury obviously nothing runs while I'm working on the layouts scenery so the engines except for the one that sits exiting one of the bridges and the one sitting on the program track are the only engines out. When I grow weiry of working on the layout I will give a good cleaning and run some trains.
Thanks Tony I'm just hoping nothing crawls out from under the mess.
I found another video in my youtube list, this video was when I was researching for doing the other rooms duc work and suspended ceiling and has video of what was left of the old layout at that time. You will see many things the same on my present layout that I wanted to incorporate. Also you will see how low that layout was compared to the present just by looking at the backdrop painting.

Keep yu feet up! I'm lucky in that respect - if there is anything under my bench work, then it'll take it so long to find it's way out, it'll cark it before it emerged OR, would be so weak ....... !
Enjoyed your video! Mine looks similar to yours. I like seeing what "real peoples" layout rooms look like, rather than the elite few who get published by Kalmbach.
I took a shot atthe first piece of facia board. The first length is 8 feet long. I only snapped two pieces before I gave in and didn't push it so much. I had to trim the corners back even more.
This was the corner I cut out
In place but not screwed home
Not quite sure what to do with this area. I trimmed it to as much of a natural angle to the shaping as I could , applied glue and a few clamps.
I put a screw in on this end so there wouldn't be unnatural pressure and at the same time holds the piece back in place.
Sorry about a few of the out of focus pics

We will never know for sure what the Kalmbach layouts really look like but I bet there no different than us, well no different if there still working on them.
