As you have the fascia firmly attached Lynn, and if your concerned about the inside of the fascia with regard the scenery, I'd seal the inside of the fascia with a clear gloss. That should (as said) seal it and prevent any of the scenery (plaster etc) effecting it.

Once you have your scenery almost completed, height wise, I'd then get out the trust Jig Saw and shape the fascia a 1/2 or so above where you have stopped the scenery. Once done, you could then finish the scenery.

Basically mate, "fudge it" :)

LOL , I agree with Tony.

Did do some fudging as was suggested and found that the plaster cloth itself gave a pretty good foundation to start to build up the terrain. Been on holidays in nice warm Cuba so here's a bit of an update now with the process to getting to the plaster cloth base.

If your referring to the area where there is a roadway going down you will see shortly ,just have to find time to get the updated photos uploaded.

Here's a bit more of the update with scenery base done starting from the trestle end and structures also in place. Obviously I forgot to move some buildings.

I also started placing structures to get the feel for the wharf area which will be in an L shape. I still have to cut down the fascia for the water edge , just not sure if there will be slight banks on the fascia edge and or how high yet?

I think this could be the sawmill area, still up in the air though.

Lynn - everything looks great! I especially like the trestle and creek.

Are all your structures including the trestle scratchbuilt?

Thanks Gary , the trestle was the jvmodels curved trestle kit but it might as well have been scratch built. There are many that are kits and many scratch built. The sawmill is the fsm 170 supersawmill.

Lynn,

Your scenery is breath taking, absolutely fantastic! As such, everything does look excellent and does fit very well together. I particularly like how you have single buildings scattered here and there.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. I'm thinking I may take a look at starting the wharf scene.
