I thought it would be great if we could get a list of sites where you can purchase vehicles and detail parts needed for bashing the standard vehicles you can purchase on sites like Walthers. I'll start a list here and lets see if we can get a comprehensive list. Feel free to add comment on the site or so we have ideas of what we are dealing with. Let's see where this takes us.

Da List:

A-Line ~ http://ppw-aline.com/

Alloy Forms ~ http://www.scale-structures.com

Herpa ~ \http://www.herpa.de/herpa_cms/

Lonestar Models ~ http://www.lonestarmodelsinc.com/
Nice detailed trucks and truck parts (railbuilderDHD).

Plano Models ~ http://www.planomodelproducts.com/vehicled_scq.html
Great detail parts for trains and vehicles (railbuilderDHD).

Police Car Models ~ http://www.policecarmodels.com
Great for details, decals, and vehicles themselves, in almost any scale (Jim)

Promotex ~ http://www.promotex.ca/

Scale Models by Dennis ~ http://www.dennisaust.com/catalog_cabs.php
I've just placed an order on this site so not sure how the details are so I'll report back later (railbuilderDHD).

Truck Stop Models ~ http://www.truckstopmodels.com/

Zycon Models ~ http://www.zyconmodels.com/

I know there is others as well, but I cant think very well off the top of my head right now :o

I think it would be a good idea to edit your first post to include the new links the members post in this thread (and of coarse give credit to the original poster). This would make the new links all in one post, and easy to find and read

I like your idea to have all in one post and I will work on that as well as I like the way you added the company name before site URL. I will also add comments with link so you can see if it's a good site for what.

I've done an update to the list so please take a look and let me know if there is a better way to organize the list and if we need to add any additional information.
Dave

I've changed the list to read from A-Z so everyone to be politically correct. I will keep Herpa and Promotex separate since they have a web site for each company. Keep the company names/sites coming and I’ll keep the list updated.

www.policecarmodels.com. Great for details, decals, and vehicles themselves, in almost any scale. The offer details for police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances, as well as lighting kits for larger scales. I've bought a bunch of things from them and never had a problem exccept not getting my order in fast enough when they have a blowout sale. Sign up fro the e-mail newsletter and, if it's on sale at a good price, act fast. :)

who models the air lines that run from the cab to the trailer? I was looking for those to add to my models but I can't recall who it was that made them.
Dave

I just coil small wire in diferent colors.
I use the same wires for the airline under the trailers as well.

Wow, $30 worth of air lines, do you get a lot with each set?
Dave

$3.25 is retail, i didnt pay retail.... lol

Each set comes with 3 of each color, and i think there are 2-3 different colors in each pack. Dont quote me on that, I dont remember for sure if that is what I heard, but I will be able to say for sure when I get them in. I should get them in today or tomorrow...

Right, being a dealer and all you get a deal. What do you get/sell them for?
Dave

I've got my order from Denis and have to say that I'm happy with what he sells. I'll post photo of the parts later but over all they are nice. Nice enough I'm going to order more from him.
