Well I mowed a old customer of mine by my old job. So After I got done I stoped by But no body was around to chat with:rolleyes: then I gave out the other 5 Quotes. I should know something by next week:). BTW, Thanks Everyone for the Prayers......They seem to be working good, just remember the golden Number is 80 to 100!:D;) If all the quote take well it should bring me to 14 or so customers!

Well, the wife's through the surgery. She's sore, but doing pretty well. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

My son goes in for his surgery Thursday.

Well, all, been a bit since I was last in here. I see the coffee is still hot and as strong as ever. If FLO ever has trouble selling it maybe it would remove paint from HO engines.(ducks flying coffee cup)

Phil, glad to hear the wife is doing well after surgery. If'n I was closer, I'd come to the hospital to keep you company while the boy has his done. I no Momma would rather stay home and recuperate. I'd bring a couple of rail Magazines and we could sit around and lie to each other about fishing or something. Maybe even have a bit of train talk to pass the time. My prayers are sent none the less.

Chris, sounds like you may have struck a gold mine. 14 down and 56 to go.

Jeffrey, you may be feeling better, and have a itch in your butt to do more, but please take it easy. Being diabetic, I know of the complications of our illness. And the extremities are at risk. Just be careful!!!!

Sandy, I think you may have missed your calling. The pics are fantastic. Cameras and me just don't mix. I've lost 4 in the past 2 years, or so, to Neptune. They are somewhere on the bottom of Lakes Erie and Huron. Luckily the expensive one isn't allowed on the boats.

Mike, glad to see you made it back. Smoke signals aren't real efficient now that we have internet.

Tom, I've been having a bit of the same breathing problems as you. Though it hasn't affected my sleep, any prolonged, strenuous activity leaves me a bit short of breath. Been going on for about 3-4 days now. But, I have the cough, though I don't feel congested.

Well, after, two years of being unemployed, I have a big interview tomorrow. And at my age, my old job is not one I think I can handle anymore. Running a garden center is just too rough on the old man. It's hard for me to admit that I am 56 and not 26 anymore. Back and neck problems, the diabetes, and just plain gettin' old is finally catching up to me. Now the many knee surgeries are starting to be more vocal too.

The interview is a with a life and casualty insurance company. I've had sit down desk jobs before and never really cared for them. Guess it's time to learn to start appreciating them more. And I think that a 6-digit income will ease the transition. My interviewer used to be one of my employees while she was in college. I talked on the phone with her a bit today. She said she was always amazed that I never showed frustration or anger when it seemed everything was not going well. Her most epic memory was when one of the guys dumped a half truckload of mulch and we had 6-7 other trucks waiting to be unloaded. I remember that day too. I went behind the store, out of sight, and went ballistic. Cussed, kicked and threw things for about 5 minutes. Luckily, she didn't get to see that tantrum.

My boss missed me and came back looking for me. He knew my routine. We smoked a cigarette, went in and got a soda, then drafted three people to come outside and help with the mess. I had a good group working for me though. We had everything under control in a little over an hour. The problem was that every year I got greenhorns to run a business that made $4-$5 million in a little over three months. That was intense.

Hopefully, this job is a good fit and I get hired. A bit of a drive though. Luckily, it's almost a interstate driving and about a 45 minute drive , one-way. Gives me time to plan my day on the way in and wind down on the way home.

Bob

Hello--

Spent the last little while working up the 'new life' mill/elevator---this should be an interesting build up when it is done. It looks to be about twice the size of the original---big whoop---so I get a little piculous when it comes to these things

These are of the original 'New Life' mill outside of Denfield ON---the land just drains off to the front/back of the property----lotsa fun

Note also how the second loader/unloader is stuck in front and how the first one still has the sign it

One of my wifes co/workers FIL might hire me to mow his 5 acres! 5 acres of what and how often don't know but I might have something good here!

Chris - that sounds great, but would your 32" Husky be able to handle a 5-acre lawn...or could you rent a Groundmaster 5900 and still make a decent profit?

BoB - good luck on getting that job!

Phillip - glad the wife came thru surgery OK! We'll keep praying for your son now...

Barry - You've posted lotsa great proto-photos of structures in your region. When will you show us some pix of your models?;)

When I figure out why my close ups go all to nhrdgghrnn!!! Actually I'm getting a little better---I like some people here---they apologize for their fuzzy pictures---they should see mine! lol!!:D:D:rolleyes:

I wouldn't dream of draging a 30" 16hp single cylinder through 5 acres. That would be stupid. I got to see what I'm mowing first! My 2348 husq. can do it, just do I want to sit there all day:confused: If it's a clear 5 that has been kept up with and the guy wants a rough cut I can get 5 done and still make a profit! Let's first see if the guy calls and if he does let's see what it is! the toro5900 is a truely handsom beast but i have fine mowed 10 acre park with crap all over the place to have to go around on a 72" deck ZTR with dull blades in 4 hours.......And one time I pitted my 2348 against this mower in thick grass sad to say my 2348 was a tad bit faster in thick grass...Let's see first if the guy calls!

I want a kubota 62" front mower though, I just need to cough up $20k:eek: My wifes co/workers are the ones finding these people. My wife told me I should start to hear from them later this week and next week. I hope it goes through!:o

One of the park had one of those! I didn't care for it much:( Dang thing felt so heavy and bulky. It's kinda like slaping a mowing deck on a tigertank! I'm a big fan of front mowers.........I have always liked them the most!

Good morning. It's 50 and clear. The high will be 77 and sunny.

Not much happening today. I picked up a type of painters tape yesterday that I've not yet tried. It's called 'Frog Tape' and is supposed to stop paint from getting under it. I'll try it on my next painting project. Yesterday was also the last day for one of my 70's era Atlas GP40's to wear it's original shell. It was replaced with a better detailed Bachmann shell that has the correct hand rails. Now both of my 70's era Atlas GP's are sporting Bachmann shells and Digitrax decoders. Both locos are permanently mu'd together. Wires from the pickups in the first loco are attached to the pickups in the second loco so each loco now pick up power across 16 wheels. They both still have their original Roco motors and perform well at low speed. The only thing I don't like is that big screwdriver notch in the side of the fuel tank.

What Billy-Bob-Six Pack has is a Cool Go Kart! The BIGEST MOWER IN THE WORLD! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUtn-N--LyI Now this thing is a beast!

Have a bit of running around to do this afternoon and a bit this evening---more or less in the train room--I have to redo my bookcase---it appears "Spring" has found a new cuddle spot BEHIND some books in there!!:confused:;)

Have a good one people-----:D:D:D
