Does anybody remember the episode of Home Improvement where they put the jet engine off a helicopter on a riding lawn mower? I don't know why I thought of Chris when I saw Tim Allen flying down the street on it at 200mph... According to the script, he mowed 36 lawns, and made $500 in a half hour...

Yes, I remember that one to If I remember correctly the Jet engine was put in a Dixie Chopper mower! There was another one where he put a motorcycle engine in a sears lawn tractor! Both mowers nearly killed him!:D Now when it come to shear usable size the toro 5910 with climate controled cab is sweet http://www.toro.com/golf/mower/rough/gm5900/index.html ! Still a little to big for my taste though but would mind having one! But I really like to have Either a Jacobsen Turf Cat http://www.jacobsen.com/turfcat600or Toro 3280-D http://www.toro.com/golf/mower/trim/gm3280/3280.html or Kubota F http://www.kubota.com/f/products/f.cfm .

Good Morning All!

It's gonna be a beeeeeoooootiful day! High of 60 and 75 by Saturday! Yea!

Bob...Good luck on your interview. Sounds like you left your 'interviewer' with a very favorable impression. :) Go get 'em!

Philip...I am so glad to hear that your wife did well during surgery. Knew she would! Will still keep them both in my prayers.

Jeffrey...Hope you're still taking good care of that foot. Don't overdo!!

Tom...glad to hear that you are feeling better. You are one of the busiest folks!!

Thanks for the comments on my photos. I have great material to 'shoot'. :D I got a camera for my bday last summer and am having a blast! Took over 150 on the way to Steamboat Springs last week, and about 50 on the way home. They were all taken from a moving car, so maybe if I actually got out and shot a few....who knows...

Hope everyone has a great day!

Sandy

Believe me, I'm keeping off it as much as I can. Almost all the layout related stuff I'm doing are things I can do while sitting down. Now when it comes to moving from part of the trailer to another, well I have to be on my feet then as there's no room for a wheelchair or scooter to fit in and the hall is way too narrow for the use of even one crutch.

Sandy just has a special way with words that express my sentiments exactly!

Barry- you seem to keep the road hot, also.
Phillip - keep us informed how the surgery goes for your son. Sometimes it is easier to be in the operating room than in the waiting room.

After loosing my job(getting fired) back in April I am now gainfully employed again. Anderson Automotive Color is my employer once again. I left there 3 1/2 years ago to go to Woodcraft on the NE side of INDY and got tired of the 35 minutes drive with all of the idiots and so went to the True Value Hardware until last April. When I started last Thurs it was almost as if I had never left. I knew just about where everything was and on the delivery route the car was almost on autopilot. The two gals I worked with are sure glad to have me back. My replacements had to be told when to do everything and the next day had to be retrained to do what they had been trained on the day before. I jumped in and started checking the orders in when they arrived and put all of the product away and do I ever feel good. Better than I have felt in several months and Glendia says I am in a better mood also which is important. When mama is happy everybody is happy and when she ain't life is miserable for all.

I love it when you have to retrain them every dang time they go out---it's like they never heard a thing anyone said the day before.:rolleyes::rolleyes:Congrats on getting that job back!!:D

--------------------------------------------

Hello dere---

Did the hurry up and wait thing today and therefore did not get as much done as I'd like. We also had---along with the rain/s^&w mix a goodly bunch of construction destruction to contend with:eek::rolleyes:

Sandy Sounds good!:):) We're going to see a lot of sun and the temperatures are going to be in the mid to upper 'teens by the weekend. Gonna enjoy that!:D:D

Bob Sounds like you did a good job on that interview!!:D

Philip We'll keep on prayin' for everyone there----take care-:)

I'm going to the train room and see if'n I can defuzzify my pix ---Practice--practice---practice----:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Larry - Congrat's, but doesn't that mean you'll have to change your signature now?

Phillip - still prayin' for your boy and his momma[recovery]

Sandy - ever thought of doing a stitched panorama of the mountains, similar to what the GrandeMan did with the Birmingham, AL skyline?

I guess I should Ken but probably won't cause I have been retired fer 10 years now but worked part time for all but about a year of that retirement. Maybe I could say semi retired. LOL LOL

Believe me, retirement without something to keep you busy is boring. Been retired since 2004 and I have my hobbies (building computers and working on my model railroad) to keep me busy and happy.

Evening All!

Larry...it is good to be happy at work! Sounds like it is a good place for you to be. Enjoy!

Ken...a "stitched panorama"? I am confused. (Of course, it is after my bedtime...that usually explains a lot!!)

Barry...It was just lovely out today. 75 on Saturday sounds wonderful. I suppose that just gets us ready for the next round of 12" of the white stuff.

Hope everyone has a great night's sleep. Especially Philip and his family!

Sandy

Jeffery I am wondering how I got an e-mail from your congressman Fleming inviting me to a webcast on health care reform? I have never heard of him before being in Indiana may be the major reason for that.

Sandy - stitching is where you shoot a series of digital photos at the same vertical angle and rotate the camera slightly in one direction between each shot. Then image-processing software blends (i.e. 'stitches') the edges of all the photos together so they look like one long picture. Grande Man had an excellent example pano of Birmingham that I wanted to link to, but he took it offline (probably didn't want anybody pirating it).

That's the infamous Google bots for you. They suck up email addresses from all over and they're available that anyone that wants them. I get such emails all the time. Besides which, I'm a democrat (no I didn't vote for Obama). Fleming's a republican. I'm against the health care reform.

Good morning folks

It was 45 F this morning as I hit the roads. High will be 56 F.

Yesterday was one of those days. It started as soon as I walked in the office. It seemed like I spent the entire day putting out fires. When it is time to turn in a project the chaos goes through the roof. On this project it is even worse since the scope keeps changing and the last minute revisions border on redesigning portions of the project.

My daughter had her last volleyball game of the season yesterday. They finished the season strong winning two out of three of the last matches. The one match they lost was against the best team and they took them to three sets. We also had Cub Scout den meetings last night to make a hectic night. When we got home we found out that my daughter had two essays due the next day. One was in pretty good shape; the other had not been reviewed by anyone. She was up past midnight rewriting it and retyping it after mom and dad reviewed it.

We worked on taking down the Halloween decorations last night and are almost done. Our refrigerator is repaired. Now we have to get the rented one out of the kitchen. Next is getting someone in to install the new circuit board for our washer.

I am feeling a lot better. The cough is almost gone and I am not getting as tired as easily.

Tonight my son and I have to get ready for his Boy Scout camping trip this weekend. We need to pack and I have to run to store and pick up a few items. He needs this trip to complete his Tenderfoot requirements. He will still need the Scoutmaster Conference and the Board of Review before he can get his rank.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good morning. It's 50 and sunny. The high will be in the mid 70's and it will be sunny.

It's time for another visit to the foot doc. That will be early this afternoon. This morning I'm working on filling the screwdriver notches on the sides of my two Atlas GP40 chassis. I'm using Testor's contour putty for this. I put some yesterday and let it dry. It shrank up a bit so I put on some more last night before bed. It's dry now so I'll sand it down so it's level with the side of the fuel tanks. Afterward I'll turn the locos over and overfill the notches on that side. They should be ready for sanding this evening.

Mornin' all!

Just getting ready to head out to the hospital. Guess we caught a break and didn't have to get up before the sun. My son's surgery is scheduled to start at 1pm today, so we don't have to be there til 11am.

Well, it's supposed to be really nice here this weekend. They're talking about an indian summer type weekend. That'd be nice.

So.......I guess it's time to get moving.........LATER!

Good Morning

Getting some rain/s#@w today---more like dribble and blarg for now---cold, damp and dull for today and tonight:eek::(----Sun for tomorrow though:D:D

Phil Have a good day there----:)

Doing the usual clean up after little 'Spring' cuddling behind the books again---forgot to shut the door again:mad:

So---everyone--have a good day:D:D:D
