:)Hi Everyone! Sure good to get back on here. Seems that when I changed my email address in the "User CP" I caused a glitch. The forum didn't allow me member privileges for several days. Big Bob fixed me up though and here I am. At first I thought Chris had "Bad Mouthed" me. I was really DISILLUSIONED by it all.

I managed to get in some modeling over the weekend. I made a trade with my F7 WM shells (sorry Karl) for a new motor/worm gear that fit an old BLI Powerhouse 2-8-2 perfectly. That devil has plagued me for a couple of years with jerking forward and backward. CJCrescent had even taken a stab at it and got it better, but still not acceptable. The new motor and a few adjustments totally got rid of the jerking forward and almost in reverse. The weird thing is the loco is smooth running b/w's until set down on track with full weight. The springs under each axle are all in good shape and I can't see any binding, so the only thing I can think of is there is just too much slop in all the wheels and side rods. The Powerhouse was one of BLI's cheaper product lines.

More news is I ordered decoders and speakers for the Hudsons today. I ordered the QSI Revolution-U and the high bass speakers.

Hope all are doing well. CU later:)

James, I don't blame you about pulling up stakes and moving! If I wasn't upside down on my morgage and owed so much to everyone else I would too! I haven't heard much on the grape vine about my job:confused::confused: Hope no news is good news:o It was 98* in the shade at my park not even going to mention the humidity factor. I was edging ball fields and spraying down the roundup:eek: God, stick a fork in me I'M DONE!:( Looks like I got some extra work this weekend with my lawn service.....The much need money is slowly rolling in:o

Rex, I would never bad mouth U:( It's just those Knobby Knees of yours!:D

"It's DISILLUTIONED Tuesday!"

Tomarrow can be, "Out-O-Wack Wednesday!"

We got the BBQ done without more T'boomers showing up:p:p---the last one done was in June when we kept getting all washed up/out:eek:

Chris Our humidity a couple of days ago sat at 95% and we actually got to 34C for about 1 hour----that was nuts! And all you guys have this for weeks?!?!

Well its 96 in the shade here. Flippn hotter in the sun. My job search continues. Thanks to those who commented kind words of understanding etc. Since last Tuesday I have pounded on a lot doors and shook out the rugs in my search for a job.

James
Keep the faith.
Keep pounding, also hit Career Builder, Monster, and the like. After 7 months of sending resumes, pounding pavement, and interviewing I finally landed what so far has been a dream job. :D
Of course, now I have less time for trains than I did while I was off, but now I have more money to spend on them!!

Thanks! I have all those web sites and got that moving along. I wont stop at anything. I doing fine other than that. I have been looking at working on a small project not sure yet. Trying to be prepared for the move too if need be. Time will tell in a few short weeks.

Greetings y'all. Been awhile I know. Really busy at work (at least I've still got a job:eek: ), and dang near as busy when I get home.

I've been filling in my waybill cards over the past few weeks. Seems like I spend an hour on each one of them, doing google searches to find real-life examples of the kinds of places that ship the stuff used by my trackside businesses. I also need to make sure I fill in the correct-numbered 'cycle' on each waybill so the right cars will be positioned in the right spots at the start of each op session. Gosh this makes my brain hurt after awhile!

Tonight I had to take a break from that though, so I could proofread and edit the final draft of my MRH article. It's amazing the number of flaws you find when you re-read a piece 4 months after you wrote it! I'm supposed to be finding the check in my mailbox any day now, sure wish it would get here.

You guys who are unemployed or threatened by it, hang in there!

Rex - wonder how that Revolution will stack up against a Tsunami? Yeah I admit it, I'm a soundtraxx bigot!

Chris What was Thursday and Friday? I forgot----I must be OUT O WACK!!!:):)

Speaking of out o wack---Eric, the child that has CP and whose dad and I with a few assorted others are going to start building a 6.5 foot long trestle that will be about 1.5 feet tall at the highest part. the trestle is meant to carry the mainline over a stepped valley that will feature a highway, forest, and shortline spur to a mill each on their own terraced bench.....

I think I hear the song---"They're coming to take me away--haha--heehee--hoho"-----:rolleyes::eek::):);)

Good morning.

It's 76 and partly cloudy. The high will be around the mid 90's and there's a chance of rain. That's starting to sound like a cracked record.

Spent some time yesterday working on the buildings. The interiors of the Seymour Block building, Skip's Chicken and Ribs and the Schultz's Garage have been blacked out, some chalk dust added here and there and the exteriors have been sprayed down with Matte Finish. Maybe today I'll get started on the "Robert's Dry Goods" kit. I also have to look at getting started on taking down the old backdrop. Not something I'm really looking forward to but it has to be done.

Good morning folks

It was 75 F this morning as I rolled out of the driveway. High will be 86 F with showers likely later today.

Last night was an uneventful night. I took my daughter to flute lesson. After flute we stopped by at our Boy/Cub Scout Program Launch. This is an event where various groups, companies, and organizations that partner with our local scout council come together and give out information on the various programs they offer. It was informative and we got some leads on a few potential outings for our pack.

Nothing to report on the modeling front.

I hope everybody has a good day.

I spent the evening playing my guitar and redying my leather on my bike. The black was getting pretty sun faded. And as for jammin', the wife was out and about, so I cranked it up and had a ball!

Well, last evening I slapped some burgers on the grill. Man those were good! And tonight....STEAK! Gotta swing past the store for some mushrooms to go with it. That ought to be good.

Oh, there's the work thing calling, gotta go!

Prayers for all in need!

Later!

James, this will be a little good news to cheer you up probably tomorrow. ;)

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-haaa!

 Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .

You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
