Good Evenin'

It has been a quiet day...so far...:)

My on-calls generally tend to be..which is a good thing..shows we have good people working here...:D

Don't tell Chris, there'll be monkey poop everywhere...

Speaking of the son of Mephistopheles, how idle do you have to be to even find a youtube video on restroom etiquette?
Of couse I think I found the first book he ever read as a child.

Kind of explains a lot!!:D:D:D

On to other stuff!
Hot & muggy here, just got back from Chili's...........another rack of ribs picked clean!! Yummmmmm The Shiner Boch BBQ sauce is to die for!! I wish they sold the stuff in bottles to go! Behind the Chilis is a Home Depot, who loses thier parking lot to about 200 hotrods every other Saturday night. Walked the lot, saw a lot of nice cars and met some nice folks. Even got an invite to bring the Ranger next time.......might have to do that!! :D
Tomorrow? A.M. Carwashes, afternoon memorial service for an Uncle who recently passed, and son #2 comes by after dinner for a checkup on his car. Sounds from his description that the Cat Convertor is dying. If so, I may just hollow it out just to keep him running til he goes to China in the fall. Then I'll have 3 months to get it fixed correctly. Bizzy bizzy day off!:D Wouldnt have it any other way!

Going to the office this morning to check on some report writing that I need to get done ... then it is orf to the LHS for their afternoon yard sale....:)

Have a good day people!!!;):D

Good morning. It's 82° and mostly cloudy. The high will be 92° and it will partly sunny (mostly cloudy again).

The ringing in the ears is still with me. Looks like it's just another thing I have to learn to live with. That's a long list! I'm down here at my parents place again today in case my mother needs help with something. She gets around fairly well for an old bird in her 70's though she does move slowly. Shoot, so do I so what's new.

No plans for today other than try to stay off my feet as much as possible.

Good Morning All,
It's a fairly cool morning at 42* with a fair amount of moisture in the air under high clouds plus a slight breeze which is fairly standard for the foothills areas here in Central Cal.

Well what started out to be an early morning post turned into a 10:00 post due to my having to constantly go after the damn Wood Peckers that are causing havoc around here. The damn birds are getting very cagey as they know I'm after them and
so they find locations literally on the roof and are pecking holes in the Cedar Shakes!

Oh, and if that not bad enough, they start at about 6:30Am and deprive me of my sleep.

Hope you all are having a good Sunday

David,

Have you tried one of those Owl "decoys" they sell to frighten off birds? I've seen them at places like Tractor Supply.

How about a small caliber rifle with a scope?:D
Leave one of thier buddies dead on the roof, they will get the idea!!;)

My mother and I went to Captain D's today for lunch then went over to Lowe's. They had a grand total of ONE operational ride-on cart so my mother got that. I got a regular shopping cart. I went to the paint section and checked the mis-tint rack. Found a half pint of a dirty looking purple. Might be able to use some of that on something. At the cost of $1 who cares. I'll have it on hand if I need it. My mother made a beeline for the garden section. She had intended to look for ONE item. RIGHT! When does a woman EVER look for ONE item and leave with ONE item. My cart was full of plants (weeds by any other name), her cart was full of plants and to top it off she couldn't seem to find her Lowe's card. After sorting through enough credit cards to pay the national debt she FINALLY found the card she was looking for. Only took twelve minutes. After the weeds were paid for I took them out and put them in the trunk of the car then we went home. No side trips to the clothing stores or anywhere else. I was hurting too darn bad to be reasoned with so home we went. I unloaded the weeds and put them next to my parents RV. She and the housekeeper can deal with them tomorrow. I'm not lugging those darn things around.

Ya, watch his neighbor turn out to be with PETA!:D The fake Owl does work! When lived in cally my dad had a Ceder Shake roof too! Same problem! The owl works, but if ya still like to kill woody with a rifle than by all means...... Put a cap in his happy @$$!:D:)

The ringing in the ears is still with me.
I have a loud ringing in the ears constantly, and was diagnosed with tinnitus a few years ago. Many decades of working in close proximity to very loud machines has made it very unpleasant to be around many ordinary noises. Believe it or not, the sound of snoring seems to be worst for me. It turns the ringing into a grinding howl similar to a hyperactive jackhammer.
I've also been told blood pressure problems and diabetes can cause some pretty bad ear ringing, as well.

I figure that's what my problem is. I'm a bad diabetic on insulin and pills. My nerve damage is constantly spreading and has recently partially numbed the left side of my face, jaw, neck and has the upper part of my left arm feeling like it's asleep. Irritating at times.

Sorry to hear about all your physical ailments, Jeffrey. They say getting old is not for sissies. I'm learning some of those lessons myself.

The owl does work, at least for pigeons. We had a house with open beams on the front porch. Pigeons would sit on the beams and crap all over the porch. I put an owl up, and they disappeared.
