Mornin' everyone!

Ready to "Go Get Um!" this morning!

We had some much needed rain yesterday and we still have a few lingering showers, but overall it should be real nice today.

I start an online class tonight for college. I haven't done one of those yet, so we'll see how it goes! Since I have all of my required classes done, I now get to just take stuff I want. As the registrar said, I could take underwater basket weaving and it'd count! This class is on the literature of C.S. Lewis. It should be fun, though I'm not sure I remember how to pleasure read any more. I haven't done that in a while! Not to fear though.....I balenced out the rest of my semester with Business and Ethics classes.

So what's up with you all?

Morning everyone. Foggy start off to the morning here. Finished up the smoker/bbqer for my dad last night. Probably start on mine this weekend, also hope to do a little more painting/weathering to my rails this weekend. It's going to start getting busy for me, my first class for this semester starts next Monday. Well I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning Bill ,Phillip & Nick from rainy Buffalo , Yep finally got some much needed rain. Cooled off today with a high of 70 . No painting outside today but have lots of inside stuff to keep me busy . have a great day all !!

Morning all!

After getting welcome rainfall the past couple of days, skies have cleared this morning. We can expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the middle 70s. The normal high for this time of year is now 73 degrees. It should be great for those high school football games tonight. It will be clear with readings in the low 70s by 7PM. Once the sun goes down temperatures will quickly drop into the mid 60s.

Well, I started my online class last night. I got so much done that I'm now basically 2 weeks ahead of the class. Perhaps I ought to pace myself, huh?

Oh, thanks for the coffee Chloe! No, I don't need any cream or sugar. Wouldn't want to spoil a perfectly good coffee with all of that fufu stuff!

I think this weekend it might be good to get a few projects done before the nasty winter weather hits. Any of you all doing the same?

Good morning folks

It maybe finally cooling off and acting like autumn for a change. It was 69 F this morning as I left for work. The high today is supposed to be 79 F and we do have a slight chance of showers. Over the next few nights we will have lows in the mid-fifties.

I did work on the layout or the work bench. I did plant trees on the museum diorama.

I didn’t make it here yesterday as I was on the road all day. We had to meet with some township supervisors, a State Representative, property owners, and officials from the Delaware Canal, and National Park Service to discuss a bridge replacement project over the Delaware Canal in upper Bucks County. The meeting was early in the morning and since it is a 130 mile round trip from home I was out early. Since I was up that way on the way home I stopped at several projects to do some field work. Of course I got home just in time to eat diner and take my son to football practice. I was supposed to go to a Cub Scout training session but I never made since I was exhausted.

Tonight and this weekend will be somewhat nuts. Tonight is our 16th anniversary. My daughter also has a dance at her school tonight. Tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday. She has basketball in the morning. My son has an away football game against the Ridley Park Parkers Midget JV. At some point we will be taking someone out for diner.

I would like to paint the area around the small barn that I had to blend in. I also have a bunch of hoppers to finish weathering. I will also be working on the museum diorama.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Mornin' Bill!

Mornin' Philip! Yep, I have all sorts of projects that have to get done by yesterday......

Mornin' Tom! Happy Anniversary to you and the Mrs.! And a big Happy Birthday to your daughter tomorrow.

I have to move some equipment and recheck the sound system at church today, clean house, get some 20lb. propane tanks filled, clean house, drop off a dead antique dehumidifier at a recycling center, clean house, and go to the local NAACP Dinner tonight. Then I can come home and clean house. My granddaughter will be baptized on Sunday and my son has informed me they want to have a picnic for the extended family at my house after church. Did I mention that I have to clean house?

Well, I better finish my coffee and get at it!

Ray Don't forget you need to clean the house. Getting ready to head out to the True Value for an afternoon of work. We are now getting orders twice a week from the TV warehouse. Wednesday is my big day of order checking so Fridays I get to do most of the stocking. Not a fun job but one that really needs to be done for the weekend. Well I need to grab something to eat to keep my stamina and strength up for the job at hand.

Happy Friday afternoon, everyone!

Finally, some rain [not nearly enough] and comfy temperatures! Not sure about my weekend plans just yet, I do know I'll have to take 2 of my kids to soccer games on Saturday though. I can probably make some headway on wiring my staging yard tracks, we'll see...

Tom, a happy anniversary to you and the missus. And that takes absolute priority over all your other conflicting obligations, trust me!

Phillip, good to hear you're staying ahead on that online college course. I'm curious though, is there any way you can ask questions about material you don't understand [I mean to a 'live' person]?

They do have a forum session every thursday evening and a chatroom available, as well as the ability to Email or PM either a student or the teacher. If needed, the teacher can also be reached during regular hours over the phone.

This is the first online class I've taken, so the jury is still out as to how well this works for me, but so far, so good.

I've noticed the online classes for what I'm working on are not that bad, definately different from the traditional courses that I took for my B.S. but still not bad doing online.

Good Morning !! Bill & Ray , Looks like a nice day here so I better get to work . Hope you all have a wonderful Fall Saturday !!!!!

Morning all!

Looks like a nice morning out there, but I'm going to stay in and just be lazy for a while. I don't get to do that much.
Still running pretty warm around here for this time of year. Weather guesser is calling for 81 degrees, while our normal for this time of year is 73. I guess we get a little longer summer this year. Maybe that will translate to a mild winter?

So NickB, what are you / did you go to school for?

Morning all!

Another beautiful day in Alabama! It is suppose to be a little cooler than yesterday. Yesterday afternoon was a great time taking pictures with Eric (Grandeman) and LGM. Can't wait until he gets his pictures posted. I have posted some more teaser shots.

Eric is definately more fussy about his photography than I am. He kept wanting the sun to move to a better postion to light his shots.:p

Have a great day and stay tuned for more of Eric, LGM and my adventure yesterday.

Glenn
