Lunchtime!! Hey FLO, how about a hot roast beef sandwich followed by some of that coconut cream pie. Ummmm! Good!

 Oops! Paul, that is Fergie that is handling the estate. I went through all of that mess with my brother's estate about 6 years ago. Man, that was pure dee ole "H". He had been divorced, no children, so it was up to my very old parents and mostly me to get things settled, even though he had appointed his lawyer friend to handle it. The biggest headache was he lived in Destrehan (New Orleans Metro), Louisiana and we were in Alabama. As Jeffrey can tell you, you haven't had headaches until you deal with Louisiana law, particularly if you are a "outsider" and don't have a French sounding name. .

Beautiful photos of the grands, fellows.

Jeffrey: that is a crisp clear photo. Good work!

Nick: We have some of those mosquito's over here. Some people swear they are miniature Huey Cobras.:D :D

I have to admit that I do like the role of Grandpa. ;) :D

She sure is a Beauty!

Yep, bein' a GrandPa, ain't it Grand!!! We get to have all the fun and when they start to fuss, we can send 'em to their Mothers.

"Where's MY Grandbaby???"
"Oh a dirty diaper? YOUR baby needs changed."

:D :p

Oh btw, to get the record straight, the Babby's name is Sean.
My given name is Scott but we already have a couple of them around.
I guess I could use my nickname that I've used for over 40 years...

Afternoon all!

Scooter and Ray, precious grandkids!

Josh, sorry to hear about Kevin Musser.

Jeff, those pix are really lookin' good.

Fergie, I don't envy you having to deal with the estate chaos - good luck with that!

Well, back-2-school has returned with a vengeance - even with my oldest away at college, I'm still doing large amounts of running around. On top of that, I've been having doubts about the viability of my pike (see my separate thread about that) but luckily I think I've found a short-term solution, the long-term one involves redoing the interior of the garage plus a total rebuild of the layout, not quite ready for that yet!

Got a copy of the obituary:

Good morning folks

It was a 73 F as I pulled out of the driveway this morning. The high is supposed to be 88 F today and the humidity is going to increase. Tomorrow will be in the nineties with high humidity. It is supposed to be hot and humid through the weekend.

No modeling last night. This is becoming a disturbing trend.

This weekend will be a busy one. We have the grocery store torture session to endure. My son has his first regular season football game as the Drexel Hill Raiders Midgets JV Silver will visit the Clifton Heights Rams. I have no idea how good or bad his team is this year. It is a mix of players from his team last year, the Pee Wee JV that moved up, and some players that have never played before. On Sunday we may attend the reenactment of the Battle of Brandywine.

On the work bench I have wheels to finish weathering along with 11 hoppers. On the layout I would like to work on placing foliage on the ridge behind the Farm House Area.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning Gents.

Steve,

Guys,

I'm dragging my sorry butt. Three days left until my first teleconference and plently left to go. I've spent so much time getting the word out that I haven't actually started writing the script. I'm almost at the point where I need a TV Land Charlie's Angels marathon.

Mornin' All!

Had some wet stuff falling from the sky this morning. Tried to get on line to find out what it was, but the only clues I could find was something about a thing called "rain". Ever heard of it? Strangest thing......

Well, looks like we're going to see some more of that stuff, so I guess I can run some tests on it and find out a thing or two.

5day.jpg

For today it looks like it's going to come and go.

If I come up with any startling results I'll be sure and keep you posted.

Hmmmmm, rain, huh? I'll have to look into this a bit more................

Morning everyone! Can't wait for the work day to be over. Well going to work on my layout some tonight, tomorrow I'll be finishing up welding my dad's b-day present then going out of town to watch some drag racing for the rest of the day. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi crew and Happy Friday,

Not much 'physical' modeling in my immediate future, kids have soccer games at various times on Saturday and I have even less money than I do time! But at least I can start planning the minor redesign of my layout's two outer peninsulas - been so long since I last used XtrkCAD I'll probably need to spend an hour re-learning it!

Chip, I guess I better stop distracting you with all my layout talk so you can finish that script!

How about we have a discussion about the good ideas our wives have...

...I'll bet you wonder what brought that up, right?

My wife is the only person I know that uses a flat, slightly curved bottom basket with no sides to carry odd shaped glass and metal recycles through an obstacle course to the recycle bin in the basement.

Except she won't do it. She makes me and my son do it and it always ends up the we spend 5 times as long chasing down rolling cans and bouncing bottles, because as soon as you bend down just slightly to pick-up the one that just dropped, the rest of stack lets go.

So you start over carefully stacking the cans inside each other, but no matter how hard you try, the shifting glass throws the aluminum over the edge and you go through it again.

My son and I have decided to strike. But we agreed we should wait until after dinner.

Mornin' Bill!........... Man, any seats left in here this morning? Wow, good to see everybody here on such a beautiful Friday morning! I'll just walk around and chat 'til a space at the counter becomes available, Flo. What's that Mouse is going to be here all day writing his script...... How's he gonna do that and talk with Ken L. all day?

Paul, yep gonna be a scorcher today. I had to turn the air conditioner back on yesterday and looks like it will get another few days workout before it gets put away for the season. It looks like some rain may be on its way to our area though, I hear that Philip is sending it our way. He doesn't seem to know what it is.... May be that memory stuff their talking about across the street.

I took my truck in for repair yesterday and after they worked an hour and one half doing the repair that was supposed to take one hour...... The service manager came out and said, "Ah, Mr Howard, ah, I have some bad news. It more than we thought it was going to be and the entire compressor needs to be replaced". So I have a loaner car to use until this afternoon when it should be finished. The good news is that everything should be covered under warranty. The Scout Troop I am commissioner for is having a "Pirates Dessert" tonight for their first Fall meeting so I know what I will be doing tonight.

See you all later.

Mouse, stop talking and get to writing! (Sorry, it's just the old teacher in me.) So turn around and get to work!;) :D
