Mornin' everyone! A very happy April Fools day and a blessed Palm Sunday to those who observe it. Went to church this morning expecting to sit by myself. Got there and my son and his wife were there. He got the day off from work because he attended a week long training session on the new machine he operates at work.

Hi All ! Blessed Palm Sunday to you also Ray , Ken NZ That looks like a April Fools Joke !! Isn' it amazing how much stuff you accumulate in a house ? Well just dropped in to say Hi and hope everyone is having a real peaceful Sunday !!!

Paul I have had a peaceful Sunday. Went down and seen my granddaughter about an hour away. We took some Grilling steaks with us so we had a nice dinner. With my shoulder being still gimpy I did not get to hold her long, she loves to stand and I could not support her very long before I got tired. It is amazing how fast kids grow. I do not remember my daughters being that small and growing up but then it is hard for me to realize that I will be 59 in about 6 weeks.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and was able to play a little. After a Saturday of outside honey-do's, I finally got to install some track. It is double tough when you use track and turnouts that have been installed before...repair any damage, get rid of old ballast and glue, try to figure out best usage for the track lengths.
Flo, give me a quick cup of coffee and a donut. Better yet...make that ice cold milk and a piece of that apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

CUa'll tomorrow!:)

Good morning ! from Indiana.:D

Good morning Bill, Jeff and gang,

Hope everybody's doing wll and had a blessed Palm Sunday.

Steve I hope you got back safely from that trip to the bowels of the earth.
KenNZ - hope the remainder of your move goes smoothly!
Eric - better put away that XTi and git busy on them honey dues before Ms. G walks out on you! (I know I know, you're sure gonna miss her!:D )
Rex - good luck with recycling the track. I've had to replace ~30% of the steelmill turnouts that were leftover from my previous layout, but that might have been transit damage...

After a Saturday of house chores and learning/practicing my DCC stuff, I spent most of Sunday drawing my layout into XtrkCAD. Geez it takes almost as long to do that as it does to physically lay the track <LOL>! But it's gettin' there, everything from the steel mill northward is drawn. A lotta work but worth it, I'm soooo glad I'll have it in a tool that doesn't require me to insert a CD just to operate it (no, really - that's how clunky AbraCAData was! )

Ken M whats the latest on house construction
Ken L We got home safe and well, what a busy day we had.
Rex it takes ages to re-cycle old track components but it's cheaper than buying new.

just watching the latest on the Earthquake which happened in the sollomom Islands, they got hit with a mag 8 earthquake followed by a tsunami that reached 15ft height in places and went 1/2 mile in land taking everything in it's path,

Mornin' Bill!

Mornin' Jeffrey!

Mornin' Ken!

Hi Josh, Nick.

A dreary day here in the finger lakes. Gray skies and drizzle predicted later on this evening. I have two days work of stuff to get done before lunch today, so I better just gulp down a cup of coffee and get to it..... Later all.

Well today will be my first full day at work since the shoulder surgery. I am looking forward to it but am not real anxious to get there. No lifting anything over 5 lbs, no overhead work and I can just imagine what my feet will feel like after 6 hours on the concrete. I have enjoyed these past 5 weeks except for the pain in the shoulder which is not letting up any. Maybe I should reretire. Oh well I was told it would be 8 weeks before the bone felt any better so I guess I better practice patience and hope they are right. So hi ho hi ho it is off to work I go.

Afternoon All ! Larry can imgaine trying to get back to work after the layoff and with your shoulder still hurting . Hope its not to bad of a start back. Bit cloudy and windy here. I should put up a windmill and run some power off it. See you all later. Oh yeah Josh those look like a pretty good deal .

It's going good Steve, the roof is on, blocks have arrived ready for the blocky to mud into place. It's officially ours too, paid deposit:D feels good.

Ken.

Larry No matter how much you get the "URGE" to lift something heavy DON'T DO IT, it's not worth it, my mother had this done and she didn't listen to advise and now she's worse than before the operation, and it can't be fixed now so she has to live with her impatiance.

Just got a great little soldering kit from the local Netto store, you get a small soldering iron for detail stuff, a big soldering gun for big stuff, a magnifier on a stand with two crocodile clip holders fully adjustable, solder, flux, files, and a syringe for something or other ??, not a bad deal for £7 or about $12 in english

You need a blocky i'd do it but the comuting would be hell, it's easy to do if you get the urge

We'll have to have a topping off ceremony up top Ken, i'll bring the beer

Well it had to happen sooner or later, i bought some very nice trucks on Ebay, i got special delivery and they went missing in the post, damn post office lost em, anyway the seller just sent three replacements FOC, very good service if you ask me, i told him if the others turn up i'll buy them at the same price or return them to him.

The first day was not to bad. It was very hard not to do what I had been doing before but every time I started to do something I shouldn't the boss hollered at me so I was a pretty good boy for the most part. LOL LOL One good thing though is I am not scheduled again until Sat. and then only one or two days a week though the end of the month,

Larry, good you are back to work, but as already said...slow and easy.;)

NZKEN/Steve: I give up again. What is a Blocky? :D
