Philip Next time your out stop over Emporia way and I will show off some of my talents. MRR and some of my finer woodwork crafting. I just finished painting the kitchen so another job off the honey-do list for now. I am sure Glendia will find 2 to 3 more jobs to add to it now.

Good afternoon folks.

I am done moving my old TV to my mothers house. The best part was watching other people help me lift it. I think they thought I was just blowing smoke when I was complaining about how heavy it was. We had a four guys to carry the sucker into the basement this time. Next time it moves, it will be in pieces!

I may be the recipient of a boat pretty soon. My mother's boyfriend sold his 93' 18 foot Larsen to his sister and brother in law. The only problem is that they didn't pay anything yet for it. Well, they've had it for a year and are now getting divorced. My mother doesn't need the old boat at the lake, so they may give it to me. I've been waiting to buy a new vehicle, but I may need to take the boat into consideration. Being surrounded by lakes around here, it would be nice to have a boat to cruise around in. Not a bad trade. A nine year old TV for a sixteen year old boat! Of course, then I would get to store it all winter as well.

I hope you all have a great week. Take it easy on Jim's house!:D

It's OK, it's not really a Canadian secret. They copied and made improvements on the English design! :D

(We're gonna start a global war on a MRR forum!)
Naaa, if we can't extract the urine from each other we're doomed. I won't tell you what cockney rhyming slang for American is. As for wind up airlines. I've flown all over the place and the world's most consistent airline is Air Canada. Its consistently sh**. :D:D Delta is next. It stands for Divert Everyone's Luggage To Atlanta.

The Air Canada comment is so true!!:D:D:D Now, as for the Delta one----I can think of a certain other airline that has done better than delta in misplacing baggage---A. C.--leaves hockey equipment in India----quite regularly I hear:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

you know if ya had a job or two and worked 50 to 80 hrs a week you wouldn't be home long enough to be bothered with Honey do's! I don't think I would want to retire, sounds like to much work! At least when at work I'm getting payed!

Speaking of getting payed I got another Yard to mow next saturday:D I hope for a good rainy season! Next saturday 3 lawns+3hrs. worth of work= $105 IN POCKET:D Man If i could only get 60 yards:rolleyes:

Flo.....something tall and cold please! The kids have returned home to thier Momma and I'm about bushed! After this weekend, detailing #2 sons car for his prom last night , (just to get it rained on 2 hours later) #3 dragging me and his step mom through several neighborhood yard sales Saturday. (I did get a Snap-On Tools ho train set, complete for 5 bucks!)Then today we spend the day in the shop making of all things, a working crossbow. Gee, what happened to all that energy?? I remember having it at 13, where did it go?? And why are my legs sore??
Jeff. Sorry to hear the cab cracked up on ya. What were you stripping it with??
SHM Yeah, you might want to hold up on the car change til ya find out if you will get the boat or not. Some vehicles might tow a boat, not not as many can launch one and get back up the ramp!
Chris. What am I doing wrong. I can cut my lawn 3 times, and I don't get $105 bucks!
Andrew That Delta thing was funny........and true! I'm also surprised to learn that they have airplanes in Canada! :D
Well, gotta run. SHMBO is calling (funny, I thought I took the trash out already!):D

Good evening people,

I see we've got a few genuises in the Shop. I'm not one myself, but I sure am surrounded by them at work. Sometimes they like to remind me of that too! I often think that somebody in HR must have made a mistake and I should never have been hired by the Lab in the first place. Oh well, if only I can tough it out another 13 years before I'm eligible to receive full SS benefits (assuming SS hasn't gone bankrupt by then)...

I realize I've hardly been in here, I'm just comin' up for air; been rushing to finish up that business district. This weekend wasn't exactly a two-steps-backward thing like earlier last week, but more like a wide detour. I've been ready to string some wires on the utility poles running thru The Strip. I figured I'd have them installed by Saturday afternoon; but first I had to take the Durango to Jiffy Lube (1500 miles overdue), then I ended up spending the whole morning there because there were other "urgent" maintenance tasks that were due as well. (Wound up paying the price of an Atlas sound-equipped for all that work, ouch!) So I went to the Michaels store for some thread and when I got home and was about to start laying the wires, it occurred to me that I better make sure all my sidewalk-level detailing work was done first, because trying to do it after the wires were strung would be damn near impossible. I noticed I would need a street sign at the intersection, but before I could do that I needed to print decals for it, and before I could print the decals I had to install my graphical editing software on the new computer, which didn't like the Vista operating system so it took alot longer to install than I planned. Then when I finally made up the signs and was ready to print the decals I discovered I was out of decal paper, so I had to drive to the LHS to get some...see a pattern emerging here? Anywho I finally got the street sign and the no-parking signs decaled and installed, and have strung 2 of the five wires on the poles as of 10:00pm this evening. I'll finish this thing someday...I suppose!

Phillip congrats on earning that degree, may it serve you well!

Jim you're probably gone by now, hope the weather gives you at least a few decent days on the Islands (and that the plane gets you all there in one piece:eek: )

Chris maybe you can setup your N scale layout on Jim's pool table during the week - if you can stay sober long enough to concentrate on it!:D

Well its time for me to get horizontal, 5:00am comes awful early. C-U-L

Good morning from Ye Olde London Towne.

Yesterday's trip to the Trainwest exhibition turned into one of those rare days out that you just don't want to end. The standard and quality of modelling was excellent. I managed to behave and only picked up some decals and a single Blueline boxcar kit. (yes I'm giving them another chance after the previous profanity laced construction disaster) The trip home ended up with us ensconsed in a beautiful country pub for several hours, followed up by watching the sunset from Stonehenge.

We do have planes but an actual airline?----NNOOOOOO:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::eek:
Obviously you've never flown WestJet then. :D Personally if I don't have to fly I wont. The only time is when I go back to Canada, then I use Thomas Cook. You know its going to be crap no matter what airline you use so you may as well use the cheapest one. They are usually around half the price of AC or BA. Next week we are off to Amsterdam for a few days. We're taking the train. By the time we would get to the airport, check in, security screening, etc the Eurostar would have already arrived in Brussels. Much more civilised.
