    Chessie did not have F units, but he did mention Santa Fe. The easiest realistic scheme to do would be Penn Central, or even late New York Central, since they are both solid colors and are easy since they’re black. But it’s your train, so do whatever you want.

    for the paint itself, use an airbrush, and do it from a decent distance away. I can not stress enough how you have to be patient while painting it, so it doesn’t go on too heavy

    I have a P2K GP30 that I took apart for maintenance, and I got it all back together fine. I didn’t separate any wires except for the black wires from the trucks leading to the 8-pin plug.
