what's it mean?

my girlfriend went to the b&o museum the other day and saw this sign, she and i were wondering what it means. i know what it means to my "in the gutter" mind, but wanted to know what it really is.

There are certain pieces of rolling stock that cannot be Humped, or rolled over a Hump in a yard. You know the auto sorting yards, where the cars are rolled over a hill and then sorted as they roll freely.

ah yes, i do know about the humps in certain yards to let the gravity roll the cars back. didn't think about that though. thanks for the clarification.

I beleive also because the car and/or load might not be able to take the heavy coupling at the bottom of the hump.
