I wouldn't mind a story or two.
Maybe a pic to go along?
I haven't stopped into the WN&K or the Broake & Howe headquarters for a bit.
Far as I know, nobody has been killed and all derailments are in the yards.
Nothing. I'm HOPING to put together a double set of (DCC) Santa Fe F's to head up a California Zephyr trainset to take to the E24 meet about a month from now--the four planned Rio Grande repaints probably won't happen in time--but even that's looking less and less likely by the hour. I can't even get a few hours to fix the fluid leaks on a BMW, which should easily pass emissions if it will just hold coolant, and all my tools are over there.
So even the small dog bone layout is pretty far down the list. Meh.
Nothing happening on the Gulf, Central & Eastern RR this summer, due to various outdoor chores.
Cutting down trees for firewood is my top priority now.
When I started this summer, I had 10 of these racks to fill. They are 8ft long, 4ft deep and about 5ft tall. I have 2 1/2 racks filled. I hope to be finished by the end of August...
I have a hidden three track staging yard planned for the near future. I have the track and turnouts, but not the time or the motivation to get in the train room and do it.
Playing with various panels and objects for the oilseed plant. This building has been chopped, hacked, and repainted multiple times on multiple layouts.
Mine is about to come down. the legs lowered, and the whole layout will be repositioned with one area widened. a big project in its own right since it has to be moved outside. of course the lighting has to be relocated.
The question presumes one has a layout..... My "active" modular is inactive sitting in the basement while I am in Albuquerque at the Santa Fe Historical & Modeling Society annual convention. Several interesting field trips including a steam up of the Santa Fe 2926.

I love it.
As a member of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Society the learning about the Company as helped me in knowing the quirks and eccentricities of its 'goings on'.
