Before you jump the gun and blurt out 'GP30' take a close look then come up with a name for it. Keep it clean.

I'd have to agree with Chris' guess at an SD30....with a short wheelbase? :) Pretty cool Jeffrey.

How about SD30J,
J for rebuilt by Jeffrey, you know how alot of the former GP30's the BNSF have were rebuilt to GP39E, M, and V.
E= EMD, M= Morrison Knudsen, V= VMV (Paducah), and J= Jeffrey;)

I'll go with an SD-30J too. I can't remember when but I think MR had an article where a modeler did construct an SD-30 and claimed he had EMD drawings for the engine, which never got past the design stage.
 


Boy, that's a nice job on the SD-30 in the link. I never cared for the looks of the GP-30 but it looks a lot better with bigger shoes. :)
