What gauge wire do I need?

Ok fellas I have used up the last of my cutoffs and now need to buy wire to wire up my locomotive and DCC controlled rolling stock. What gauge should I get

That's the one I use, I'm HO & OO, but yes.

Yes, 30-32 G should be sufficient.

As said, 30 - 32 gauge, no larger though. You might want to consider Magnetic Wire as well in 30 or 32 gauge. Might make it a bit easier

I wouldn't recommend magnetic (enameled) wire for wiring up decoders and DCC rolling stock. The insulation is far too thin to adequately insulate the wire from minor scratches or scuffs against metal frame members and the like, and thereby shorting out and frying your expensive decoders. This stuff is mainly meant for winding coils used in electromagnetic devices such as transformers, motors, relays, magnets, inductors, solenoids, and other such electrical devices.
