It looks good with three units. Trying that with only two doesn't convey the same message as three or more do.
Do you have any more information about the prototype photo? I would gather it is in Ill. or Iowa somewhere along highway 34 due to the double track mainline, but what train, time, etc. could be nice to know. Is that first head end car a NYC mail box?
Thanks for commenting. I should have given credit for the photo. It is on page 64 in Volume 4 of Michael Spoors CB&Q books. The train is the westbound combined Nebraska Zephyr and Kansas City Zephyr. The photo was taken in June 1966 in Mendota IL by Dave Weber. ... I grew up next to the CB&Q and recall seeing from 2 to 5 E-units in elephant formation. The first car is likely a CB&Q mail car made from a rebuilt WWII kitchen car. CB&Q had many of them.
