I have not done any real imaging in some time, so I will return to the same theme as last weekend. Two SD74M's this time, and missing some details on the (cough) front end. I'll get to them one of these days, and weather it with an air brush that a friend gave me a few months back. Learning how to use it will be my winter project.
A couple of shots of the smaller of the two lathes that are going in the T&GP machine shop. This is in O scale. Kit is from Western Scale and was built stock with only the pair of information labels added (they are on each end in the first shot).
Hi, Corey. Yes, I have all the details to add and I need to teach myself how to use a single action air brush that a friend gave me some months back. But, I just can't resist those nifty beasts and the Warbonnet scheme.
Jeffrey, that house was made by Pola a long time ago. I had one on my layout. I think it was like 1970 or so. I like the plywood load on the bulkhead flat.
Jos, great looking trees, especially when you put them in perspective with the vehicles.
Crandell, LOL, now all of us diesel modelers can rivet count you to death. Great shot though.
DJ, nice touch with the sand on the yard tracks. The Pennsy always had some of the oddest sahped cabooses though.
BB, you'll have plenty of time to weather cars once you get some track down. Looks like you have a couple of nice ones there.
Matt, great job on the lathes. Where did you manage to find those manufacturer's tags?
I remember seeing some houses almost like that from the train passing through the Fresno area. Typically it's a house a couple miles from the edge of town, with a grand, well paved U-loop driveway with the fancy car or truck parked right at the front door.
