Wow! I'm impressed. An excellent image, dieselfan! :D I have a soft spot for this particular diesel paint. Don't know why...my good taste maybe? :p

Nice train, Dieselfan. You might want to bring up a litle more ground cover to hide that ballast edge on the left side of the bridge.

Indeed, Crandell, very nice diesel paint scheme there. :) If you added a prancing horse somewhere, it wouldn't look much different than an NS diesel....except for all those wheels

Looks like we're off and running again this weekend..... Crandell, nice, very, very nice!

I have spent a bit of time detailing the yard track with the rusty Rails paint tool. Here is a before:

And an after:

Tomorrow is the Lakeshores Division Meet so I should have some great photos to share on Sunday (I hope).

Amazing, isn't it, Ray, how a little time spent changes things so much on a layout. That does make quite a dramatic improvement. Nice scene you have there. I am thinking seriously about getting some (are they Details West) targets and track stands. So far my layout hasn't a single one, and I can appreciate that they are missing in some photos.

Have fun this weekend! :)

Thanks, Crandell. Yep they are the Details West (SS-914) Switch Stands. They sure look better than these:

This is the only area on my layout I have scenicked (about 4 feet of a 19 foot long layout)and I'm not even close to having it done:o

A new section of handrail to prevent people from going over the edge. And a little patch of weeds to hide that seam in the "concrete"! The stanchions are tiny molded plastic pieces, and the railing is a fairly thick nylon fishing line.

Modeling credit to Andy Miller.

This week I went for the less is more approach, inspired by some prototype shots of cinder yard that nature was trying to reclaim.

Here is my summer project, as I don't do a lot of basement time when the weather is good.

This is unit 15 from the N S & T. They had unit 8, 15 and 19 that were the same type of motor. They were originally black, but eventually CN painted them green.

Here is the etched brass shell with the trucks mounted, waiting for handrails, couplers and paint.

Here it is finished and working on the layout.

I have one more similar engine to do that will be Number 8, perhaps this winter.

What scale is that? It looks really good.

I was out today and got this:

Sorry, the photo police deleted the first one.

Amazing how some paint and effort really improves the look of your track, Ray. I'm feeling kind of inferior now seeing your nice switchstand compared to the CH ground through.

John P. very nice handrails. Those must have been a little tedious to build but they came out great.

Dieselfan, understood, I'm sure it will all look much better when you've finished the scenery.

John T., nice work on the yard although your "overgrown" yard tracks still look in better shape than many of our US yards. The beach has really come along now and it looks even better with some swimmers and sunbathers.

Tom, fantastic job on the details and paint on that CN box motor. O scale traction has always been one my dreams for the next life. :)

Paul, I sense a contest entry for that picture somewhere. It took me a while to figure out those were models also.

John, your image of your sea wall and the beach and water is amazing. It is like I am right there. Excellent!
