ModelRailroadForums.com is a free
Model Railroad Discussion Forum and
photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.
Yep, another newcomer to the forums! About 15 years ago, I got heavily interested in building an N layout and start gathering bits and pieces, but never got around to doing anything with it. Now, I'm looking over all these interesting artifacts and trying to figure out which direction to go. Since the Maryland Midland runs past my house, I will probably focus there for a start and if I set my time frame in the early 90's I can still add an F unit to the mix. And doing so will pretty much guarantee that I will have to customize every single bit of equipment ( except for the three special run GP38's I bought years ago). It's probably a really good thing that my hubby is also a modeler, so he'll forgive the mess I will make once this gets beyond the early planning stages.

Welcome to the playground. I got Pam into Model Railroading shortly after we met. It makes the hobby more fun when you share. My daughter was two weeks old when she attended her first train show. She's almost 25 now. Have fun.

Welcome to the forums, MBriggy. I think you'll find this a great place to hangout at and that most

of the folks here are pretty friendly. All kidding aside, this is the best website for model railroading, period. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, there will be plenty of people here who are willing to help. And feel free to chime in on any topic at any time, nobody here will shoot you down, unlike some other places we know.
I will shoot you down....but only if you ask me too. I'm an equal opportunity shooter downer.
